It does increase your res and defence. Should take you up to the smash/lethal restist cap too.
If you have stone skin and granite, you're already resistance capped against smashing and lethal, so the only useful power in fighting would be weave.
If you are looking for more defence and want to get weave, you could get tough and leave it with just base slot to allocate the Steadfast +3% def unique IO since you get the def bonus even with Tough untoggled, obviously you are the one to decide if it is worth to use two power selections to get to weave. Probably a more straightforward way would be to get Maneuvers although the def is not as good as Weave.-
Thx for advice guys... aye, already got both stone skin and Granite, both of them have invention set (full Aegis in Stone Skin just in case of running low lvl TFs, and sorry I can't remember the set already used in Granite). I have chosen Build Up from Battle Axe powerset at lvl 49, so I'll need a respec if I want to get Maneuvers instead... as a tanker, my main goal is taunting enemies and bearing their alpha attacks, so it seems more useful increased defense than dealing a bit more damage in my attacks.

Just no! Although in a proper team you shouldn't need any extra defensive pool, if you want even more survavility, go medicine. It's less end heavy and with GA massive defense you can use it really easily when surrounded by mobs.

I know having End/Rech in an inherent power is useless, but having full Aegis gives you 3.13% Toxic resistance, that's why I did it. Anyway, it's true that I could save that slot for any other power... it's something to think about, as soon as I can run a tf respec.

It's possible, but I'd have to change 3 powers to get Aid Self... nah, I want to have the same attack powers. I know that in a usual day I'm almost invincible, but a little extra defense in case I were invited to a MoSTF is always handy.

You just need 2 powers to get Aid Self, and 3 to get Weave. And you can also use aid self vs LR you know ^^
having Fighting pool in a stone tanker?
My stone tanker is already 49, so I have Granite, Rooted and so on, but I was wondering if having Fighting could increase somehow my resistance and defense.... any suggestion?
