was when i was in RV on my invun/energy, my friend got killed by Ghost widow and sirroco, so due to complete bordem, i used my uber tauntning and sheilds to taunt them both into police drones 
It's now Issue 21 and I am back!

Definetly Pre ED herding entire chambers in eden trail and getting blasters to nuke was fun and hard (DE were tougher in teh olden days)
Whenever my Tank gets a compliment because of his giant riktisword :P
Using 3 different tanks to herd up tons of freaks together and gather them all together in a crate on Dreck map.
When I was tanking in a rather hard mish and survived.
Wave after wave of Rikti came for me and the rest of the team just died while I was in the all mighty riktipile.
Being able to survive that must have been my best experience ever.(and kinda wanting some sets to be nerfed...)
My best minor experence is every time Two Ton Tina uses footstomp. People in other zones feel it.
While farming family mission I was leveling my Invul / Ss tank...
As a test of his Res and huge Hp I was amazed to see him last a solid 5 mins unsk'd fighting mobs that were + 20 levels !!! ~ Def my proudest moment as a Tank.
Carlsberg don't do Farming,
But if they did..........
While being in a Nemesis mission with my WP/DB playing stand-in tank being sidekicked to the main tank.
When our main tanker was knocked out I stepped in, fired off everthing I had - strength of will and inspirations - and held off the enemies - purple to me - until everyone got rezzed or came back from the hospital... 
Icing on the cake was when our scrapper told me I could at least have faceplanted once so the others wouldn't have looked so bad... 
Unfortunately, being a bad Tanker with Scrapperlock is the most fun you can have. Unfortunate because it's not something that should be encouraged.
Back when Lord Khorak actually had Taunt (a resolved identity crisis, he's a solo scranker), I would be quite happily running heedless into rooms while the other seven members of the team are resting and buffing. The night ended with me calling a Winter Lord a 'big nancy' and trying to beat it to death single handed.
It's bad to pick a Tank secondary that can actually do some damage. It just makes you want to go and hit stuff.

In a game that's about superheroes I tend to find that playing a tank gives you the best "superhero" moments.
My best was probably when I joined a team who were already in the middle of a mission fighting Malta and I arrived just as everyone else faceplanted. It was one of those rare moments I was able to say "no one go to hospital", hit Invincibility and cleared the room to shouts of "Go Tank Go!!". That was fun
One of the biggest laughs I ever had was a backup tank in an old-fashioned Hami raid. The main tank went down and up I stepped to taunt the big jelly guy. My moment to shine had arrived. My moment lasted about 5 seconds before I hit the deck with the thought "maybe this build needs a bit of work" going through my head.
What times playing your Tank have made you feel proud, excited, or just plain made you laugh?
Anyway we were tight on time so I had to exit 
But was def. my most fun experience on my Tank, if not in game.
My #1 best experience was on an Eden trial as my Stone/Stone. We decided to save the heroes, then drop in on the Titan from above as we were running short on time. He went down pretty quickly, and the rest of his uncleared chamber came charging toward us. My squishable mates had clicked exit as soon as he dropped ofc :P, but I decided to stay in and test my limits. A few rounds of BU -> Tremor later and most the minions fell, the ones that didn't Mud Pots picked off a few secs later
