Depends on your level, what powers you have what primary you are.... And whatever sets you are you have to keep track of your health
k im now lvl 11 so these are the powers I got
Barb swipe
Lunge
Spine burst
Impale
Build up
and my regan powers so far are
fast healing
Reconstruction
I was hoping to get either quick recovery or dull pain next and then Instant Healing cause I hear good things about it and then get hasten and ss by 22 as well
You'll want Integration ASAP (I know you're not able to yet, but when it becomes an option take it). Its your status protection (stops you getting held) and also it gives you your base Regen rate. I'd pick up Dull Pain and quick recovery soon as well but yes you do want a travel power and Hasten will only improve your healing rate (it will bring Dull Pain and Reconstruction back quicker)
I dont tend to use Instant Healing on my regen unless I need to. Its duration is only a minute and can really pull you out of a bad situation. I'd rather have the other powers in and slotted first to stop the bad situation in the first place though

Firstly some advice on /Regen: It all depends on your play style and your team. I have a lvl 50 MA/Regen scrapper who currently has:
*Fast Healing
*Reconstruction (Recon)
*Quick Recovery
*Dull Pain (DP)
*Integration
*Instant Healing
Ive learnt that if it looks like things could get messy in a mob I would recommend hitting DP before attacking as this increases your Hit Points (I fink Mids Hero Designer says increase of 40% unslotted), and you can then use Reconstruction as a back up heal. Both these powers are greatly supported by Hasten (from the Speed Power Pool).
From experience I use to charge in, use DP and at times use Recon to survive, sometimes this worked, others I faceplanted as Recon hadnt recharged when I needed it.
Personally, I would get Quick Recovery when you can start getting Dual/Single/Invention Enh, the difference isnt really that noticable with just training origin enh. Integration is your lvl 16 power for /Regen, get it, slot it to 3 heals and keep it toggled, you will notice a difference.
Resilience, hmmm, you got that power covered in Integration if it stays toggled. If you got the power slot free then it's up to you.
I would recommend that if your not sure about a power try it on the Test Server. Im currently trying out Revive and Moment of Glory. Revive can be handy. Moment of Glory (MoG) is debatable, and Im trying it on the test server as we speak. I would say these are both down to personal taste, but worth trying somewhere along the line.

If you get pwned by alphas then you really don't play your /Regen Scrapper very well.

For my own two penneth though, your toon will feel squishy until you get Integration and Dull Pain, both will significanlty improve your survivability once slotted. Quick Recovery is going to be vital once you get Quills although you may want to get Stamina to further enhance your recovery.
As a Spines scrapper try to avoid fighting Clockwork (resist toxic and lethal) and Vahzilok (resist toxic) if you can.

If possible, try to take at least some of the alpha and then use Dull Pain - it means you can utilise the massive heal it offers as well as the HP boost. That's not always possible though.

MoG is all about knowing your enemy and when to use it. Yes, sometimes it might decrease your chances of survival rather than improving them, but when used in the right situation there are still many times where it will save your [censored].

Reminds me - I should update that guide sometime with IO stuff. Should be a decent distraction from my dissertation...

Nice to hear someone else say something good about MoG. Only had it for 17 bars of XP and its kept me alive plenty of times already. If you know what you're fighting its a 100% safe power to activate

Regen is tough and can in no way take alpha strikes. At the level cap, and especially now with IOs, it is pretty tough to die as a Regen. Perma-Dull Pain isn't that hard to achieve, boosting your health easily to the cap. This in turn makes your heals and regeneration higher (IIRC). One of the important things to remember is to try and increase your general regeneration in any way possible. This may be just by increasing it by a few % with set bonuses, or increasing it by a lot with rare IOs- remember, 3 slotting Health and Fast Healing helps a lot.
Increasing maxHP only increases regen, not clicky heals.

It's worth that noting that the Scrapper HP cap is 180%, and this can easily be reached by using Dull Pain (~60%) and accolades (Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member, Portal Jockey and Task Force Commander) so if you have perma-DP then there isn't much point going after +HP set bonuses.
I think he means IO set bonuses for +regen, not for +HP, I could be wrong though, who cares, regens are dull and boring to play anyway.

Hmm yes you're right...still...err...a good point to remember!
Guys whats the most effective way to play a regan scrapper ,with SR i just turn on toggles and jump into a mob and start killing but as aregan that gets me pwnd.
Is regan played like I just keep having to use reconstruction all the time and other heals?
