No idea how these things work, but been toying with Mids'. If you have better builds than this for a Fire/Nrg (team-based) PvP build, they're appreciated. (I'm tired and can't bother to make anything better out of this build, but promised DSorrow I'd look into it)

Looks OK, you're lacking self-heals and any form of +Perception... but you specified team-based PvP so I'm sure that teammates could cover that. TBH i'm sure there's still better stuff you could take than Kick/Tough... "Boost Range" for example. Also, isn't Force Mastery a bit better than Ice for team PvP? IIRC all Snowstorm does with a Kin and a Healer on the other team is inflict -fly and drain your end bar.

I've a Fire/EM Blaster PvP/PvE hybrid build I've been working on, details below. It's at the Blaster HP cap (with accolades) and whilst it doesn't take 'Boost Range', it has a little extra range slotted into the ST Blasts.

Unless you drop Snowstorm on the Kin, of course. Force Mastery has too many weaknesses to be useful in PvP, definitely in arena, and even in zonal; Hibernoob is just too useful as a kill denier to be ignored and Frozen Armor stacks well with Fort.

If I were planning a pure team PvP Fire/Energy and inf were no object, I'd probably roll with this:

    No self-heals as in any decent PvP team the blaster should be getting the focus of the Emp/Therm, no Power Boost because this build doesn't really gain much benefit from it, Conserve Power in case of sappers/drainers in a small-team environment, and Assault to squeeze out the very last drop of damage you can. Only downside is that this build will retail at around a billion inf, at a cursory glance.

Large teams, you can stack enough +Res with use of support toons, nullifying the major benefit of FoN (which isn't up often enough in most arena fights to be massively useful). Small teams, Snow Storm proves more useful than most anything in FM. In either situation, you don't want your major damage dealer sat in PFF, and if they must duck out of the fight for a time Hibernate has much more going for it in terms of kill-denial - especially for a toon without any self-heal outside of using insps.

Of course if you have a specific strategy in mind that uses FM, then ymmv; it's not a bad APP by any means, but in 9 situations out of 10 I'd prefer to have IM in my back pocket.

Problem with the Ice APP is that while it'll stack up nice with Fort, Def is pretty worthless in big fights with all the +ToHit, Acc Bonus and -Def that can be thrown around.

Hibernate can be good however.

I don't know why people think Force is underpowered... I haven't even got Force of Nature on my Blaster atm- in fact I swapped it to try Boost Range for those running Thermals!

Especially with /Energy, Force can be very useful... My tactic is to run around looking for targets without PFF on, meaning if I find myself in trouble I can PFF instantly and then Powerboost to make me pretty much un-hittable.

Never tried //Cold, although I have seen some people use it well... although I can't see how it can really work that well in 1v1. As Fire/Energy most things should die very quickly anyway.

Personally I'd get Superjump without Superspeed and just have Boost Range... With 3 Recharges and Hasten it stacks for a few seconds

Crazy bikkies money-is-no-object build what I found on some USA SG's forum and tweaked a bit for capped HP.

Built around the phase-and-regen idea rather than Aid Self, but pretty darn good at it. Force rather than Ice but could switch Epic pools for Hibernoob/Snowstorm, gaining a tad more +rech at the cost of some +HP.

Build looks solid, but given that you dont have hibernoob I would consider slotting the stealth IO in ss instead of a micro, and avoid using sprint at all for endurance sake
