Haven't played in over a year; build questions

Robot/dark still kicks butties, dont worry about that.
I know a few of those, all went for GW set for the theme and the extra hold 
Btw, yes they still do that shield thing, not sure about assault bot though.
Few things:
-slot fear with 6, recharge/acc/range, as long its up fast and hit alot.
-give asault bot a end-red, helps sometimes.
-with tacics (and tohit slotted), you can drop 1 acc from the prot.bot and give him a heal or any debuff he can do.
-never.. ever.. forget fluffy at lvl38.
IO's are lovely for this set, lots to be found that can combine several buffs/debuffs. Might give a few looks on the guide section, perhaps on the US side also for a few guides bot/dark is quite a populair set.

Hey mate. I'd slot some slows into tar patch myself too. Maybe some of the special IO procs like Chance For Smashing Damage or the Chance for Recharge Slow (forget the sets). I'd also chuck at least one more slot on Health and Stamina to help yourself.
If you wanted more strategy as well, you could get the heal pool and keep those pets going forever.

Hmmm never noticed my assault bot struggle for end before, protector bots could do with the endred though.
End reduction on bots makes 'em cheaper to spawn, not makes them use less endurance when fighting.
In my experience, putting an endred in my protector bots has made a difference to the amount of end they use up.
Really? Weird... I could swear it didn't have any effect.

Nope, it's the other way round.
All the slotted enhancements only effect the Bots, not you.
Oops my fault, i meant protector bots. Specialy with 2nd upgrade they tend to loose endurance faster then the others.

I know Stamina needs another slot, and so do the robots.
But beyond that, I've no idea. IOs got me all bewildered (I've no idea which sets should I get). I remember Shadow Fall being somewhat weak when I left, so I have no idea if that's worth it... well, basically, I'm lost. I've even lost the build I was aiming for since last I played... A year's a long time it seems.
Can someone help me out and suggest me a build?
PS. I don't remember when (at which levels) I got these powers... so when creating this build in Mids I just picked the powers, not looking at the order of things. So that's probably off too.
EDIT: One more question: I remember, before I left, that the first robot upgrade, when used on the Assault Bot, actually caused him to do LESS damage. Is that still the case? And why do Protector bots still cast the shield on the drones? Which is really weird...
