Indeed but according to Mid's designer, the same build only has a 35.6s hasten downtime and even without hasten, FA still recharges in 27.8s.
Doing a very rough calculation, I still expect FA to be ready to go about every 23 seconds, allowing the toon to more than live up to her name.

However RoA also have 60 sec recharge, imho FA still looses.

I would have to admit that the amount of time an AR blaster is rooted can be a bit scary, even with caltrops to keep the bad guys away.
However, watching all those orange numbers rising up from a well placed FA is a true delight, and one that should not be missed.

If I want to see lots of orrange numbers ticking up I play my Ice Blaster, if I want to be end effective, accurate and different I play my Archery/Devices. I see no need to fit full auto in fo me to enjoy the game........... Ignite could tempt me but I'm not going to make a character just for one power (again at least, done it before)

As a more recent set, it is quite likely that archery is a bit more balanced than AR. AR's has suffered from nerfs, ED and who knows what else so is likely to be a bit broken - just like most of my characters.
In the end, you can still get to 50 with either set, it all depends on whether you want a bow and arrow, or the ugly gun. I'll stick with the ugly gun for now.

Too bad both still cannot compete will ice, fire or elec primairy set. (nrg somewhat more, as that one is borked).

That's because nothing compares with ice for pure animations and sounds (though Fire these days is fairly close)
Or am I the only one picking sets on how they look.
Which goes with Flitz post, bow and arrows over uggly gun for me (and the "fireworks" on Blazing Arrow are lovely. Almost as nice as Fire Breath)

Try teaming with 7 other Ar/Dev blasters. There's one I play with twice a week and we're just crossing the 30 mark. Full Auto will be neat when we all get to it but suprisingly it's the M30 grenade that has the most dramatic effect as 8 grenade going off together (something we have practice with) can wipe out almost all the minions in a crowd and severely batter any Lts or bosses left standing.
Mines and liberal gunfire finish off the stragglers and all thats left is a sea of shell casings.
Archery is all well and good but AR in groups is cooler by far. 
I do wonder what Arch/elec will do with RoF and a 8 times powersink
Strongest i've seen with AR is 9 stacked ignites, i gues with 1 tanker and stacked immobilize it wouldnt even have probs with AV's.

My AR/Dev needs stamina, but does have hasten to keep those attacks rolling faster so does go through endurance a bit quicker.
As for mob handling, I usually go Full Auto, Flamethrower and finish up with a point-blank M30 on any survivors dancing around in the caltrops. I eventually aim to open with LRM, then Full Auto, etc although the recharge on the LRM is pretty long.
I am also looking to have Full Auto on about a 20 second recharge when fully IOed up.
