Sounds good, although due to the huge diversity of opinions in any subject, I think it would be more useful to use it as a way direct new players to the forums.-
Well, we actually did run "courses" like that in College of War and our late villain counterpart the E.V.I.L. University at some point, but as real life started piling up we stopped for no apparent reason.
We'd most likely love to organize a few short teaching sessions again at some point, so if this kicks off and you're in need of experienced lecturers or lecturing assistants, we're more than happy to help.

I'd be interested in talking to anyone who was involved in the College of War/E.V.I.L University to see how you went about things, and what worked and what didn't. Alvan, would you mind if I got in touch with you in-game sometime, or would forum PMs be easier?
As a new player who'll be starting to play shortly i'll just say something like this would be a godsend as well as something i'd definately sign up for.
Any time i start in a MMORPG i've never played before i always find the amount to learn overwhelming especially when the mmo's been around for a while.
without guidance it casn take weeks to learn everything you need to know to play the game effectively. For example, Macro's, market prices, which stats/skills to invest points in, best places to level. I myself already have no idea what the difference is between the various travel abilitites or what 90% of the terminology and acronyms mean. While i'm not sure how many of those would apply to Coh/v i'm sure you get the idea.
It's always nice to have a someone friendly you can ask for help or tips when you're not sure 
Cool idea, I'd make a character just for the SG in this case. Only been on over a year and got a bit of experience with most AT's, although not trollers (not my style). Even as I work to being a veteran I'm still learning, and it would be nice to share that knowledge.

Anyone fancy doing something along these lines at some point over the weekend, then? Ideally, I'd get some new players together (and maybe a vet or two) and do a few missions, showing them all the ropes. Free Raptor Packs for all!
I've been thinking recently, that while the answers to just about any question you could possibly ask about CoX are here on the boards, only a minority of players actually use the forums. Now, in Eve Online they had a Corporation (basically an SG) called Eve University which took in new players and showed them the ropes of the game, depending on what they wanted to do. It was fairly successful at the time but fell apart due to having war declared on them by several factions (Be very thankful we don't have non-consensual PVP
)
So I was thinking, could something like this work in CoH? I'm far from an expert on anything, but would any veterans be willing to spare some time to give advice to less knowledgable players? Even experienced players could probably learn a lot from something like this - I've been playing on and off for three years but could still do with attending 'Tanking 101'
I've got a few ideas on how it could work, but it's still at the ideas stage really. Anyone interested can reply here or send a tell to @Doomsy.
If this has been done already, then apologies, I haven't seen any sign of it though.
