Knockback protection

I have a Fire/Dark brute with lots of end problems and I was wondering if there is a way to get knockback(up) protection other than Acrobatics. Any invention that I'm not aware of? I took a look but I could only see res to mezes, not kb

Also, improving max end wouldn't be better than just increasing recovery rate? That way both max end and end rec would improve by say 2%, right?

Resistance powers? Go for the IO set Steadfast Protection.

Defense powers? Go for the IO set Karma.

Each one of those sets has a Global Knockback/Knockup Protection IO. You can not slot two of these to the same power, but you can spread multiples across several powers for extra protection.

The less dramatic answer is hover or flight, but...that's a desperate man's solution. You know, because it doesn't REALLY give you protection...it just makes the effect far less negative. Then again, Hover is what makes ruin mages no longer that scary.
And on a brute, I'm sure the retardedly slow hover speed would be an issue for someone wanting to keep fury up.

Each of those only has 4 points of KD protection, so you'll want 2 of them really (having tested and 2 work fine for PvE, 1 wasn't enough)

Acro is 100mag. Acro rocks, but eats end and takes up a whole power

Thanks! I hope these plus some end set bonuses could help my situation

Using Enred IOs rather than SOs makes a big difference to DA and your Fire Melee AoEs

Hover isn't actually as bad as people seem to think. I have a Fire/Fire Brute who Hovers all the time (mostly for concept and also for the psuedo KB protection).

Once slotted with SOs, I have three in Hover and also three in Swift, the speed is actually more than respectable. I can easily keep up with the "runners". To put it into perspective, it is fast enough that sometimes I forget that I haven't switched to fly and start Hovering towards the next mission.

I do this with my Kat/Dark Scrapper and although the spin in the air is annoying, it's nowhere near as annoying as landing on your butt and having to get up again. With 3 Fly SOs, the speed's not bad as BM says. It's just a shame that until now, Knockback protection dictated travel power. Now, just to get hold of those precious IOs....

Anyone know what would happen if you had both Hover and a KB protection IO? Would you still do the spin, im guessing you wouldn't but it would be nice to know.

To hazard a guess, I would assume that if the KB attack doesn't exceed your protection, nothing happens. If it does beat your protection, you do a somersault.

1 works just fine in PvE except in a very very small amount of enemy groups. I ahve ran my Stone/Fire brute up from 30 to 46 in i9 with 1 steadfast slotted and the only time I need acro is during a AV fight, EBs KB too but my brute can perma juggle them so they dont get the chance.

They are however bugged when exemping and dont work even if the enhancement is lower than the exemp level, ie a lvl 12 steadfast will not work if exemped from 46 to 40 even when in a power that is accessable before that level (fire sheild)
