1st Respec Trial
Hi I would love to come along my char is only lvl 17 ish atm, but Im sure he needs a respec already, lol. He is a bit of an end hog, when everything running, and fighting can be tuff after just 2 -3 mobs lol.
I think I can respec at 24ish is that right but would love to see how to complete trial etc thx in advance

I think it would be awesome. I tried to do my 1st Respec mission with a group and it went very, very poorly...but mostly due to personality issues with one member and his addiction to racial slurs. None of my characters "need" a respec, but it would be nice as you can always rearrange something for the better (like ditching that early minor attack that was really only useful until level 12). I'm not sure about when to do it regularly, but if there's a time I'd love to see it done.
Hell, I just wish there were regular times for people doing strike forces on Union. This would be the next best thing as I know a LOT of people who are frightened of this respec mission something fierce. Send me a tell if you see me on, I'll be there.
By the way, does the respec mission only help out the one character, or does it help out everyone in the party that qualifies for said respec mission? Like, does everyone get a respec if they qualify or is it only for the leader? I'm cool with either way, I'm just curious.

Every member of the team can choose the respec as a reward for completing the trial.
And concerning the idea of a weekly respec I think that it is a good idea but one without much hope of lasting for long. Spending 30 minutes every now and then for a SG member that needs a respec is one thing, but participating in a weekly scheduled respec PUG that can take as long as three hours to get the thing done is a different story.
That said, I gladly help if someone asks for my assistance in the respec trial as long as I have enough time to make it to the end.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
At least now...with the invention system, this SF is worthwhile...plenty of xp/inf/prestige to be gained, aswell as invention salvage. If you don't need the respec, you can take the rare recipe option at the end instead!
I would love to do the odd SF depending on whether I'm free or not...as I have 3 alts that can help (as in lvl range) including a brute, a stalker and a mm....my plant dom is only lvl 15 at mo.. but he would love to do this when he gets into range!

People used to regularly do the 1st Respec trial, for inf/respec or just for fun, but then the devs removed the log-out trick loophole and the failure rate just became too high for most people.
If you are going to try it I'd suggest everyone bring Shivans.
Never needed Shivans for it and only the very first try back in I6 was a little rough (needed two attempts for the vines because we overlooked a CoT spawn)
Seriously,CoV respecs are not remotely as hard as some people claim.
I'll gladly join if i have no other obligations.
Thanks for clearing that up, Sitriel.
So yes, count me in as one of the people willing to take part in this regularly. If I can make it to the weekly theme nights more often than not, I'm sure I could swing this.
Send me an email in-game or a message here on the forum when it's officially on.

Now that they fixed the loophole, as I mentioned above, I've been on 3 failed attempts and know of friends who suffered many more, previously it was reasonably easy but time consuming, now I hear players waiting to do the 2nd respec instead since at least then you have more powers and so a better chance of sufficient DPS to succeed.
Only tried it twice with my Brute....first time there was only 4 of us....so doomed to failure! But the second time with a full team was successful...so long as you work as a team, the vines don't cause too much of a problem.

Nice to see i got some repsonse from this. I dont know if I made it clear, but my main intention was to help out the new people who either dont have a SG or a list of globals. I've taken on board the point regarding the limited usefulness of just running the one trial. So my proposal is that people just post whatever SF or trial they would like to do and we will try and do that.
I would like to try and keep to the time frame I mentioned previously as this is more or less the only time in the week I can guarentee being online. If any of the more vetran players would like to help me run this, any help would be appreciated.
Again I hope this is of some use to the newer people as I never got to do my first SF/trial until being into the game over 9 months and I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you are missing out on a big portion on the game.
To anybody who is interested and would like to contact me in game my global is @dwayne dibley. Main toons are "stretchimus" & "bluefang".
Dwayne Dibley? Do you have the teeth for such a name?
And yeah, I've been playing 5 months and I've only gotten to see the Cap Trial twice. The problem is finding people who've got the time and who also want to do it. I'll be adding you to my globals the next time I log in.

will add you to global m8
Just throwing this out, but i occasionally find it difficult to get a team together sometimes for the respecs. So i was thinking of running the above respec once a week to help out all the other people in my position.
Dunno what everybody thinks about this? But i figure it'd be a great help to the new people starting out as well as a few old heads.
I was thinking everyweek on a Saturday afternoon, about a 2 o'clock start so everything "should" be finished by about 4ish.
What do u all think helpful or just a waste of time?
