Tri or Bi......oooooh i'm in a pickle!!

Hi all

advice needed please. this is my first attempt at my tri-form PB. Before getting to 50 i had ideas (like most i suppose) that PB's and WS's were stupidly tough 'epic' creations. Since getting to 50 all my pre-conceptions have been shattered. if anything designing a PB has tought me how to be more 'thrifty' whilst slotting. what i want from a PB isn't much (just paragon city on a plate.....maybe i should be a villain) i want a blaster in squid form, a scrapper in human form and a tank in dwarf form. 'scoff' i hear you say....
this build covers it (i think). it has the AoE in squid, a dwarf that can take it and a human that can dish it.
Any words of advice (and the reasoning behind it) would greatly be appreciated.....thanks

Let me be the first to say: Your are in serious need for slots.
However, this does not mean that two-slotting Stealth is necessarily a good idea. You don´t want to run Stealth permanently, do you?
Depending on how much time you want to spend in human form and general preferences in playstyle I would advise you to redirect this slot and some of the slots from the shields to nova attacks or Essence Boost and Reform Essence. If you want to shapeshift frequently I would even skip the shields altogether since it´s a pain (and often a waste of time) to toggle them all back on.
Aw, well, I guess that´s the "Epic" in "Epic AT"... You can build pretty much what you want and have to be an advanced player to make it work really good...

I would move a Res from Incandecance to Shining Shield.

You can live without these (and thier precious slots). Combat Jumping (and possibly Acrobatics eventualy) would be more useful. Mez is a bigher danger to you than those damage types.

You don't get much benefit from endmods in forms.

Thanks for the input guys

the PB is now at lvl12 and i see what you mean about the shields. i only have the 1 at the moment and i keep forgetting to turn that on when i change to human form.

ive now 're-jigged' it taking your advice and it seems the way to go is to allow the human form to blossom much later than i really wanted. i guess theres too many powers and slots needed between lvl's 16-30 to excel in all 3 areas.

any more advice on the re-build greatly appreciated. (i know the fly slot in bright nove has to be moved to somewhere more useful)

The main change I would make to that is I would get Light Form the instant it became available and 6 slot it 3 recharge 3 resistance.

Oh and IMO Pulsar is more useful than Cosmic Flight, but that are both "taste" powers: I would test them on the test server and see if you like them.

Uhm, yes. I have to agree that Pulsar adds a great deal of survivability when you actually fight while Quantum Flight is more or less just a getaway power. So, I would swap their positions around.
Concerning Light Form I think slotting for recharge is not that important with Dwarf form slotted for resistance as in most cases this should be enough to let you survive if things go bad. (However, if you think you have the slots, go to town.) But I would definitely slot up on resistance and get Light Form earlier. It´s far more useful than those stupid, stupid, stuuuuuuuupid Photon Seekers.

You can skimp on resistance slots in lightform if you wish as you can run it with shining shield and cosmic balance in most cases to give very high resistance. I went with one res slot and a couple of recharge I think.

Might not need the acc in Dawn Strike either you'll probably be using build up first and DS has an acc bonus to start with.

1) 3 res slotted in Shining Shield

2) A couple of blasters or scrappers on your team

As I said, you can do it if you wish. It's a tradeoff. Even without cosmic balance you can hit ~80% res with just the default slot in Shining Shield and 66% for E/NE too. Just one slot in LF will push teh figures up by 10% and scrappers/blasters are not uncommon team-mates.

Oh almost forgot Sister Shock, you can set a bind or macro that'll turn on Shining Shield when you switch forms back to human if you want - saves having to remember it everytime. All you have to do then is turn on CJ and acrobatics and....
