Well... If they do, I doubt the person they're talking to will continue to talk to them!

Actually, I've found so far that heroes in Pocket D have a very calm reaction to villains discussing their misdeads. It's kind of like "well, that's happening in the Rogue Isles, so it's not something to get worked up about."

Aye, but that's conversations going on around them... A villain saying such directly to a hero, in a social situation, doesn't bode well for making a friendship!

Um... no, that was Enny telling Cassidy all about the things she hunts for Arachnos Man and Red Hair Man. It resulted in the story fragment about Enny collecting soap for the Lost.

Of course, Enny tells you about gutting people with such style that you hardly notice.

And yes, you can bring villains, as long as they're sociable and won't start talking about who they eviscerated that day.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please. Depending on my mood it'll be an Elderly Ex-hero from the 1950's trying to resimplify the world with moral polarity or an inhuman Bengali Prince. Sure he's got lots of teeth, but he's my only character that doesn't kill women for moral reasons. Makes for fun team runs when Widows and Seers shows up. I haven't played much higher than the low twenties, so if more female enemies show up he might have to redefine his stance and decide that woman are equal to men. You know. So he can, as you say "eviscerate" them. In the name of equality.

PS: Does this mean I won't have to listen to heroes blather on about how many lives they saved that day? :P

So far, I've seen more "hey look at me, I'm evil" talk then "I'm so good I saved so many lives" conversations.

it's more likely to hear something like
"Those [groupX] sure got a pounding today", from either side of the fence.

I'm just imagining a scene:

"Hi, I'm Wendy, they call me SuperWendy. I like kittens and saving people from bank robberies. How about you?"
"MORGO SMASH!!!!"

ROFL! Nice one Birdy!

Still, I think a more likely conversation will be.

"Hi, I'm Wendy, they call me SuperWendy. I like kittens and saving people from bank robberies. How about you"
"Morgo think Wendy pretty, Wendy want go on date with Morgo?"

I'm just joking. My biggest line with City of Villains is that you don't really feel that evil sometimes.
I mean, my first character fights zombies, snakepeople, corrupt cops (You know, on mercy where they beat innocent people with truncheons), infernal gang members, and the like. How's that not heroic and, in general terms, Good?
I would say that longbow might be the only innocent people I've had to smite but to be fair I'll call that self defense: When they see me they set me on fire. I swear. No tact.

But don't worry. The whole "LOOK AT ME I'M BIG AN EVIL" thing is overdone as it is...I get enough of that just having to team with "Dr. BabyEater" when I'm running around in Cap.

In fairness, you only really see that kind of behaviour from either fairly new RPers, or young RPers; at least such is my experience. Oh, and tools... Don't forget the tools.

Tool = Non-RPer who exists to hold RPers to ridicule.

Personally, I don't feel comfortable RPing evil people.
My two RP villains aren't real villains.
One if a merc with scrutiny, also works in Paragon for the law, for that matter.
The other is a shop keeper (well, jeweller) that sometimes goes out to get cheap inventory... Oh, and likes to help people, even has the whole heroic spandex costume and all.

So, most missions are either OOC, or fudged.

I have to think myself into being Lilith. She's evil. She's so evil, she'll do nice things for people if she can see that, in a hundred years, it'll turn out as evil.

Enherezza isn't evil at all. She's just odd.

I think it's in part due to:
"I can't do a darned thing about it, so why bother"
With the restrictions of PD.
Those few times such things were said to one of my character, she became rather cold and sarcastic before heading off for an other conversation, or bar.

Thursday suits me fine! Now I just have the panic about which toon to inflict on the poor masses...

The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

I'd prefer the subsequent Saturday, or FRiday at the earliest. But if it HAS to be Thursday I'll try appearing as Hardlight

This open to villainous types too?
