Well, that was disapointing. This post is now for re-scheduling, lol. Let's hope we get past the 2nd mish this time .

What was the stumbling block?

My guess is loads of Ruin Mages in each group. Horrid - we did it with a big team last weekend .

Posi really is so much easier with small teams.

With a bit of luck the TF will get a revamp now the continuity with the new Faultline doesn't make any sense.

the stumbling block was that one of the hostages in the second mish decided to get stuck runing up and down the lifts then when we reset we got near the end then something went wrong with the map server and we all got dc'ed at which point we decided to call it a night.

Fair enough, as long as you had a good reason for Posi!

(Nasty that, at least it was early in the TF.)

While we're discussing TF's thanks again for the help with Babbage when the TF team I was in were doing Synapse ealrlier today

And on our first attempt at Positron last weekend we had to bail after about three missions because some idiot had himself set at invincible and the mobs were just too high for us (especially with no defender). Yes, I was that idiot.

Did Posi task force this afternoon. We had a team of 8 because that's how many people turned up. Started at 3pm and didn't finish until just gone 8pm. We suffered lots of DCs throughout the afternoon / evening. I count 11 just for me, looking through my chat logs, but others, I think, had more. Still, we completed it in the end. Good luck with getting through it.

On a more positive note. It took us almost 3 hours to get through the first 3 or 4 missions, but after that it moved a lot quicker.

Have fun...

I've noticed this happen a bit recently. The trick seems to be that everyone else stays well clear when the person with the pet/hostage/whatever is going through lifts or doors. Better luck with the TF next time.

Thanks . All we gotta do now is find out when we are going to do it. I understand if, like me, everyone would like it best if they didn't see another buggy Positron mission for a month or 12 . However I have been thinking (again, yes I know it's bad for me) and if we start in the afternoon, then we would have more time to deal with said buggy missions. So when does everyone get off from School/College/Work/Monkey Wrangling and have time to play from like, 1pm or 3pm? Then we would OWN the forces of evil!(I'm sorry about that irrational outburst, the're happening more and more................)

Just some tips to you guys from someone who has run posi 20+ times:

The key to Positron is Buff/Debuff and damage. You can't really tank Vazhilok. Defenders/Controllers are your friends, if you can get them.

Lacking buff/debuff, Positron is easiest on a small team. Actually, it is easiest solo. A good Scrapper or high-damage Controller can solo it without too much trouble. You can start it out with eight people, then everyone logs off and one of you returns, doing all the missions bar the last one. Then everyone returns to a triumphant finish. Might not be fun, but its easy. Wierdly, a duo generally has the hardest time of all. Good team sizes are odd numbers 1, 3, 5 - fewer bosses that way.

But the best way is to have a large team with loads of buff/debuff. Force Field and Trick Arrow are especially valuable, as is Illusion/Mind control with confusion for those vazhilok bombs. Get 3-5 defenders/controllers, then rampage!

If you have to take an extended afk, log off from the game without quitting the task force. Spawns get easier for your pals, and you'll re-join the task force as you log back on. And if you can, sidekick as high as possible. The enemy is level 15-17, and with trainers and DOs you just can't fight anything beyond +3.

Finally, Positron is the hardest task force - harder than the Shadow Shard ones in my opinion. Expect some debt and a team wipe or five. How the devs can have the hardest task force be the first one is beyond me, but that's the way it is.

Ow - sounds like everything was conspiring against you!

One suggestion if you get the same turnout as last time is to run it as 2 teams of 4 rather than 1 of 8 (assuming reasonable balance in each of the 4s).

As others have said, Posi gets significantly easier with smaller teams, and with 2 groups going at once you can turn it into a race to add a bit of excitment to the event.
