i have an ice/ice one and i don't find him to be annoying for the hero when i pvp ^^

so i plan to build a new one but i can't make my choice between those 3 build

mind/psi for the total and unresisted control and for drain psyché ^^

grav/psi singularity my love : )

mind/NRG fooocalisatiooonnn !

any feedback or advice would be of great help

For PVP id say mind/nrgy. Good variety of unresisted single target attacks. power boost in secondary. Stuns in secondary.

But it depends how you play. /Psi for instance is very good at getting your domination up fast (with psinoic dart) IMO. The trick is surviving to get your domination bar full!

Which is much easier considering that it builds up four times faster now! :P

I'd highly reccomend /Energy and /Ice, /Ice has lots of secondary slow effects, as well as Power Boost - Power Boost + Aid Self = 80% of your HP back in one go. Or something ridiculous like that!

O_o power boost + aid self

i have the two and i never ever had the begining of the idea of that ! does it really work??

more feedback form PvP masta please

Yup, power boost doubles all secondary effects, and heal is a secondary effect.

/energy might have stuns, but most of your opponents will have protection from that anyway. I prefer mind/psi to mind/energy but know people who say they do fine with energy. I'm surprised your having trouble with ice/ice, I would expect that to be quite a good pvp dom set with the slow secondary effect.

Trouble with ice/ice is its plethora of AoE powers. Its a good PvE set, but PvP its not so great, especially as two of the really defining slows (Arctic Air, Chilling embrace) require melee range which is ouch for many dominators.

I also find it an end heavy set which is slow to build up domination. Thats hard work in PvP. If you want to win in PvP you need to get domination up. When its down you are probably the weakest AT out there.

I was thinking with both running and 6 slotted for slow & end redux you could be virtually melee proof, especially if you were standing on that ice slick thing at the time. Course I havent played ice/ice so its all just an idea.

It's handy, but anyone that has slow resistance can get around your arctic air and chilling embrace, you've got to be careful.

the same thing about melee can also be applied to /energy, the best damage powers are melee. (Bone Smasher, Total focus, Barring whirling hands, which is naff for PvP) also, the level 38 powers for dominators are very close range. So in general, Dominators are most effective when close in a fight. Kiting is the key here!

The disorients in /energy aren't that amazing to be honest, however they can be stacked with other disorient powers (Like wormhole, say) to create a far stronger effect, especially with domination running, it adds up very nicely. Total focus with domination is enough to stun a boss in PvE, Bone smasher on its own + TF might also stun a boss briefly. So, like said, can be very handy if you have disorient powers in your primary.

The Ice slick is awesome in PvP, everyone who doesn't have acrobatics will hate you permanantly. :P

"Mind/Nrg is teh good ya'll!!" "No, Mind/Psi is the best" "ZOOMG! Fire/Ice hands is teh best hands doooown!"

My main is a Plant/Thorns, and I've specced her for PvP. I find that your sets do not matter much, note, much compared to the player's skill to handle things. Sure, /Psi might be good at detoggling things with Drain Psyche and Mind/ has alot of control, but here's what I've found useful:

- read The Harsh Reality of PvP

- Be friendly with people, especially if they're new

- a GG after a good fight is nice

- Learn to joust, especially with Total Focus or Ripper

- Aid Self makes you more survivable, even with 1 Interrupt I can heal myself from Spine Toxin ticks

- Acrobatics or you are finding yourself on your back all the time

- You will be tasting the ground alot if you are new

- Never gloat when you win

- If the opponent uses BFs, make him burn them really good

- If your opponent is using a long animating move (i.e. Total Focus), use your toggle dropper on him and jump away, get ready for Aid Self

- Get a Team

- Get Stamina, if you're a /Psi you might not need it

- Stay silent if you got defeated in a rather unfair way, telling them that they're stupid etc. will just provoke them to do more

- Use insps [highlight 2 Lucks is teh cheeat!!omg ]

- Use corners and walls and obstacles to make your Dominationbuilding easier & safer

- PvE a little in the zone to get some ready Domination incase you meet a Blaster, where it's either you or him dead

- If you find yourself useless after the opposing Empath has turned his allies unholdable, don't whine

- If a FoTM build beats you, don't whine, because even Corruptors get spanked by good FoTM builds, or ATs (Scrappers and Stalkers)

- While jousting, hop twice instead of once (hard to explain)

And the most important of all
- Carry alot of breakfrees, some Lucks

And just to remind:
- Whine as least as you are capable of, unless you want to be known as the "carebear" duh

Why I am pointing out to be silent is that people will respect you more, that was hard for me in the beginning but now I stay silent as a rock if I get royally spanked. Yummy. Also compliment other people if they've got effective, but different tactics to use (generally anything other than Aim + BU + Spank or TPFoe + Spank)
