Quick bind "goto" question...
Goto is location-based, so you always need to specify with a targeting reticle where they need to go.
I guess you want to order your pets to melee? Im afraid it wont work without using goto and targeting reticle. :/
I do it using ctrl+click, closest I can get to "Stand beside him and clobber him"
/bind lctrl+lmouse "petcomname Grey GoTo Aggressive"
To make my Zombie, Mr Grey go to a spot in aggressive mode. Just hold left control and click and off he toddles.
I use "Grey" as the unique bit of his name. Just replace it with whatever you want and any henchie name matching the unique bit will do it.
Thanks for the help guys - guess my Bruiser will be Hurling concrete for a little while yet then
Well no, if you send a henchie like my Grave Knights in using this method they'll switch to melee sooner than if you just tell them to attack. Its not perfect but its a little better than them standing at range using their silly dark blasts.
If you want a bind to send your brusier into melee and get your normal thugs to attack the same target try something like:
/macro AA "petcompow thugs attack agressive$$petcompow enforcers attack agressive$$ petcompow brusier goto aggressive"
This should get your enforcers and thugs to open up on your target while giving you a targeting circle to send the bruiser in.
I may have the syntax wrong will try to check tonight.

You had a couple of typos, Brusier rather than Bruiser, and agressive rather than aggressive but it may work. Oh, and I'd remove that space after the $$ before the final petcompow, just in case, and to keep the syntax consistent.
Offhand, I can't remember whether you can issue multiple commands like that or whther the game considers them like powers, and you can only issue one per macro...

The above post may contain Cynicism, sarcasm and/or pessimism. If you object to the quantities contained, then tough.

Yeah spelling mistakes would cause it not to work. As for the multiple commands issue it does work because thats how I am constantly in bodyguard mode as in all my attack macros my Prot bots are in bodyguard and the rest of my bots are happily hitting things.

[/ QUOTE ]The game does not have any tech to limit the number of commands given by a macro, the only reason powers can't be used is because each action in the macro activates simultaneously, and only one power can be queued at a time, so the game can only use one power from the macro.

But I was under impression there was a limit to the length of the text in a bind?
250 characters per bind is the limit, and it's easily enough.
Personally, since starting my thugs/traps and bots/dark MMs, I've found Khaiba's numpad binds to be an absolute godsend.
As a reference: Pressing 3 would activate your Bruiser. Pressing 4 would make him aggresive. Pressing 9 and clicking at the mob would send him to melee. From there, 0, 4, and 7 would then tell all your thugs to simultaneously go beserk.

Very True. I simply can't imagine trying to play an MM without them. Get them bound if you haven't already.

The numpad binds are a godsend - ive managed to come up with a few enhancements of my own (my Numlock button sends by Bruiser and Enforcers to attack, while my Punks stay as bodyguards - handy in PvP)
I was just hoping there was an easier way to send my Bruiser in than a targetting reticule cos my trackball is not always 100% reliable
Is there a way to command your pet to 'goto' a targetted mob, or do you have to use the targeting circle?
