OK, we currently have 12 out of 16 heroes signed up compared to only 5 out of 16 villains and nearly all of the experienced PvP'ers only seem to have put hero alts down.
Unless the numbers even up a bit or some of the hero sign ups are willing to play villains, not sure if this is going to be possible.
I'll review it next weekend but the bottom line seems to be that if we only get 10 villains, then only the first 10 heroes to sign up will be able to take part to keep the numbers even.

I did notice the same thing, and I have noted couple of times in PvP forum that experienced PvPers seem to favor heroes for some reason. (I think its just laziness.. easier to PL people with accomplished toons [img]/uk/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img])
Unfortunately all I got is lvl 31 stalker and lvl 20 robo/poison MM (who rocks btw). Im ready to play my villains but its the lvl difference..
There is of course a possibility of HerovsHero base raid.

And that is why I'm on my Defender. My Stalker is at 34, my Brute at 32 and my Dominator at 17.
While I would like to play with them, the level and slotting differences will be an issue for me personally.
That and I want to get some more Base Raid experience on my Def.
OK, we're still at the stage where we're very short on the villain numbers. Here are the teams so far

That makes it a 6 v 14 signup so far. So, unless we get more villains signing up or some of those on the hero side willing/able to play as villains, it's only going to be a 6 on 6 with all the heroes from, and including, Knight Stalker missing out.
TBH, unless we can get at least 8 a side we may have to pull the plug as i'm sure we'll have at least a couple of no shows.
I'll try to drum up a few more people in game over the weekend but it's not looking promising so far.
Ooh, need more villains you say? I could come and play with my brute, just shout at @Volturne, that is if I'm allowed..

my villains are zone based atm, not lvld one for lvl 50 pvp, guess I could bring my lvl 42 granite brute tho if you need it, would prbably be best use with 6 slotted taunt and full defensive slotting

OK, I'm going to be setting up a base for this on Sunday for the villains.
With regards to numbers, we have a full hero team but barely half a villain team.
If anyone knows villains who PvP, point them to this thread as we need more numbers
Well, the villain base is now set up on test ready for Sunday but we're STILL short on villains to take part.
For now, it is still happening but those who signed up last on the heroes side may not get a spot on the night.
I suggest we all meet up in Pocket D on test around 18.30 and check numbers then and also see who doesn't mind swapping sides if we are short.
OK, as we're nearly at Sunday, here's a recap on the Base Raid.
Th plan is to meet in Pocket D at 19.00 to sort out the numbers and sub in for no shows. The villain base for this is up and running.
So far, the sign up looks like this for heroes:
1 - Xanthus
2 - Hammerfall
3 - Stalk-obot
4 - Empath
5 - Quiver/Mystic Madness
6 - X-Treme
7 - Jummy
8 - Double

On the villain side, we have the following

What that means is that only the first 8 heroes to sign up are currently guaranteed a place. I'd recomend everyone coming to Pocket D anyway as I will be trying to round more people up on the day and between now and then and a couple of those on the hero side have said they can switch if we're particularly short. There's also bound to be the usual number of no shows.
Once again, if you do know any villains who PvP regularly, mention this to them. Even if they don't sign up but just turn up at Pcoket D on the night, we can probably fit them in going on current numbers.

I'm going to have to drop out of this event, since I'm going on holiday on the 28th and we're travelling up on the 27th. I have half-finished base on the Test Server if people want SG invites over the next few days, but if someone else wants to design the base feel free.
what lvl are the raids? i can play a villain if the lvl range doesnt hurt too much, i got a 34 fire/thermal corruptor and 37 mercs/dm mastermind
The raids are fought at lvl 50 with auto SK'ing happening. With Phil switching to villain side and Xanthus not being able to make it, it's now 10-15 so not hugely out of balance as I'm sure there may be a couple of no shows and I can round a few people up on the night.
Biggest concern now is the hero base. If anyone wants to design one on CoH, please let me know. I'll warr you now though, it takes a bit of time. It took me nearly an hour just to copy all the salvage needed across and needed someone to help me and invite all my alts to the group. 36 million also wnet nowhere near as far as I expected!
If we are missing the hero base, we can just do one raid on the villain base(the poorer numbers on villains side will also be less of an issue then)
OK, this has been discussed before and it seemed to generate some interest so it's time to get it up and running.
On Sunday 27th August at 19.00(UK time), i'm going to run a base raid on the test server. Open to all comers.
What's Needed
16 villains (plus a couple of subs)
16 heroes (plus a couple of subs)
1 Hero team leader - I'll be heading up the villain side but need someone to do the same on the CoH side. If he still wants to do it, this will be Xanthus as this was all his idea.

1 villain base/base designer
There is a seperate sign up thread HERE so register your interest there and use this thread for any discussion(it just makes things easier for me).
On the base design front, it's entirely up to the 2 team leaders how they do this. On the villain front, I'll be inviting anyone who wants to design one to set up a VG and do it. A few days before it's all due to take place, i'll then get me and a couple of others to look round them and pick the best, maybe pointing out any areas for improvement we can spot.
While I expect it to be a little competitive, I'm going to state here and now that this is for fun. Keep that in mind as we really don't want to see any of the 'pwnzor' attitudes that put so many off of PvP.
The only other point I will make, it would be nice to see some of the well known PvP'ers out there actually PvP'ing on the villain side for a change. We all know how good some of you are on CoH and that effective team PvP on villains is still lagging a bit behind so it would be nice to see some of you taking on a challenge and fighting on the villain side.
