I'd definitely recommend E.V.I.L as they're a great bunch to play with but they're also a VERY popular one so get in quick if you want a space.
That was number one on my list, but unfortunatly my brother has got a toon in that VG, so any events that take place I wouldn't be able to take part in.

Well, I know some of the 1AT guys are in Bludd's VG, Double Control for example, so may be worth having a word with him.

didnt u know: excuses and lame critic against a working system is just a way to hide the fact that ur a looser j/k<--
na.. its not a good way of measuring strength or skill, but i have to say i doubt that many VGs actually farm prestige (atleast we dont) we are just a very active VG and make pres along the way as we lvl... (just that we got a few pathetic ppl that dont know when to turn off the comp... wait.. that would be me... damn..)

PLease dont take my post as a flame......I know a lot of VG's have worked very hard to get to the top of that list and have been very succesful in recruiting active players. I would like to see a base raid league table tho....hmm..maybe im better off in the suggestions forum :P
True, I would like to see another ranking with SG's based on amounts of missions completed, enemies killed, etc.

Circle of Tarot is, I believe, a Dev VG/SG - I've been tracking the top 10 VG's Prestige (so I can monitor how well D&VS are doing) and Circle of Tarots has never moved even by 1 prestige - leading me to believe its Dev - or dead. (if that latter can we raid thier piggy banks )
a heard a rumour tha Circle of Tarot, Brotherhood of doom, all-star league are hero-SGs that used an exploit to gain tons of pres.. i heard this has happened to US-servers as well, where SGs has 85 mill and stuff. (dunno how it worked tho)
so for obvious reasons we dont cont them in to the rankings lol.. (in 7 months Circle of Tarot has earned 3 mill, and the others mentioned hasnt earned as much as 1k pres)
btw, i didnt see ur post as flaming (thats why i stated to be joking.. was only pulling ur leg a bit), and i hope ppl dont do it on mine either =) regarding couning mish completes and stuff.. its all very similar to counting pres, since i would believe that most SGs have about the same % of members/time that play in SG-mode in general.. ofcourse a good crew can motivate their squad better to stay in SG-mode at all costs, but that would on other hand cause less ppl wanting to join, so i assume it evens out (in general, not all cases)
another way of making ranks wouldnt really be fair.. since PvP isnt a 'must'-part of the gae, u cant force ppl into it by including it into the rank-system.. tho a seperate ranksystem would be cool, counting the total earned reputation in SG-mode.. to show he 2nd side of the coin so to speak...
atleast its something concrete to show, more than oppinions and rumours 
I'm still trying to work out where my VG is going wrong prestige wise.
I got 'subbed' into E.V.I.L the other day for a raid and found that I was 200K ahead of their highest prestige earner, had similar levels and figures in terms of 'last on' days but they're way ahead of us in prestige rankings.
We also seemed almost identical with reagrds to top 10 earners but it's below that bracket my VG's letting itself down with at least 10 lvl 30-45's having not earned a single penny 
Think a lot of it with my VG is that I don't insist everyone plays in VG mode and don't link VG promotions to prestige earned.
Maybe that's a stance I should change as it is quite disapointing to see two of our level 50's have earned less than 150K between them. Was always of the opinion though that people would want to play in VG mode once they had enough cash to cover SO's.
Definitely a case of time to start using the stick over the carrot I think

even tho this really dont has with this thread to do, kin.. ill let u in on a secret........ here is some rescent stats from Violators pres-situation:
last 4 weeks only aprox 30 chars in the SG has earned more than 3.000 prestige
During this time we been not always top, but atleast top-5 earners every week (atleast amongst the top SGs.. a general weekly revenue is 900k atm)
the top-5 earners within the VG (not always the same chars, but usually is more or les the same) earnes in average 300k/week together. this means that aprox 25 ppl earns 600k = 24k each. 1 solo mission at lvl 32-50 gives about 700-1000 prestige (depends on what mish and setting) and takes aprox 10 min (this is very average stats). this means that each character do aprox 25-30 mish/week = aprox 4 mish/day = 40-60 min
at this point we have a bit of a problem with alot of ppl not in SG-mode, and that results in low prestige, but i have never enforced SG-mode, but had it as optional and ppl can do what they please, since i dont want to choose if they are to have alot of inf or not. I do however recomend the use of SG-mode and tries to explain the importance of it. I myself do not see the force-to-be-in-SG-mode as a good way to make an SG excell in pres, since that will lower morale in the SG.
The reason why stats in SGs are similar to achther is the dark number of ppl joining, making 100k pres and silently dissapears... we have had alot of thoose ppl, and will prolly have more.. and the fact that we dont have inactive alts in the SG, also cloaks the stats a bit. i only have 2 chars in the main SG, but between all my alts i made aprox 3-3.5 mill prestige alone.
and dont feel bad about high-lvls not making pres.. its very common (i think)... only a rare few will stay in SG-mode once they fear they run out of cash after lvl 32.. i constantly remind ppl and show them by own example that u dont have to leave SG-mode ever, and still will be able to slot with SOs for 75% of the slots (without inf-aid or exit SG-mode) i also has (tho i doubt it matters that much for real) an SG-competition where i every week announce the char that earns the most prestige for the last week, and reward him/her with 500k inf (dug from my own poor pockets) and even tho it wont help more than one char, its still a nice way of saying: 'thank you for ur contribution to this SG'
and dont use the whip.. ppl will feel used as u treat them like cattle... all u really need is to get 50 ppl (2/3 of a full SG) to do 3 missions every day in SG-mode (aprox 15-20 min) and u will make more than 1 mill pres/week.. small numbers on many, is better than huge amount on 1..
this is the philosofy and management that has taken Violators to be the richest (circle of tarot not included) SG/VG in Europe

i dont think that was any personal tbh.. Machines are a good VG and top-ranked.. i just think thoose where the top-VGs that 1st popped into his mind that also has big PvP-interest

It involved buying and selling where selling would bring more prestige than the buying cost. Some VGs in the US gained more than a billion prestige that way. This was my initial thought with Circle of Tarot too. I remember the person reporting that bug got the Bug Hunter badge awarded, something which seemed very special until beta ended and everyone got that in the US. Europe didn't get it however
Basically, i'm going to roll a new brute/corrupter soon (not decided which yet) and I plan to play with him a lot in PvP. As I'm new to the CoV scene, I was wondering what VG's out there regulary has PvP events/base raids etc. And if so, do you have space for me?
