Welcome to union and EU servers. I also first started on US servers before comming here, so i know how it feels to start over and tie new contacts, and i hope u make urself at home and enjoy it. As ur looking for an active SG, i would like to promote my ownTho im soon to retire from this game, im sure u would like to join the Violators, a top leading SG with high activity and alot of experienced players (and huge base). to get more info, contact me, or @Bru or @Havoc Fang and we can sort things out. we also have a CoH SG for thoose that choose to alt on CoH as well (and that is a pretty active SG as well, plus we have a global channel that allows us to stay in touch).

After months of hopes, dreams and loyalty to this SG, i've descided to finally give up.
As much as i love this game, NCSoft keeps dissapointing me with longer waiting periods between issues, more and more(?) bugs, and none of the real content that made me join CoV in the 1st place is working (baseraids/CoP/IoPs), and will prolly not work anytime soon. As i have done everything possible in both CoH and CoV, with achievments most of u are familiar with, and the fact that the EU servers are dying slowly, the game no longer have anything to offer me thats worth my time and money. As of the 18th of December 2006, i will no longer enter Paragon City, making it my last night online.
I've made alot of friends and enemies over the year of CoV and you shall all be remembered. Even tho the time online not always been pleasent, its been a great time and i will miss you all (i wont mention names, you all know who you are).
My main goals when transferring to EU servers and CoV, was to to create one of the strongest and most respected SGs on the server, and as Violators are my pride and joy of this game, I have no intention of letting it die as i leave. As this descision is on no way taken in the heat of te moment, but planned for some time now, I've done enough (i hope) preperations to ensure the SGs survival and ongoing success. As i leave, two players will gain control over Violators as Arch-Villains. Desciding on who has not been an easy task, since im torned between loyalty, judgment and friendship, but in the end i thin ive made a good choice, with my motivation that the new leadership of the SG has one purpouse only. Not let Violators walk the same path as many others and die out, due to poor leadership.
As new leaders of the SG ive choosen:
@Havoc Fang - the most active and devoted member of the SG for the last months. Not the most experienced player or best leadership qualitys, but will stand and die for the SG to any extent.
@Bru - An active and comitted player that takes the time both online as offline to work for his SGs. A good leader with high morale and judgement and will together with Havoc fang hopefully make a good team to make sure that Violators will keep going strong as the #1 SG in Europe.
As i leave, it would be a damn shame dropping all my special-built chars into oblivion, as many of them are specially cut out to benefit the SG (CoP-toon, RSF-toon, Raid defender, Raid attacker, Pres farmer, PvP toon). For this reason i will leave my account in hands of a well-liked and experienced player, namely @Bru. I hope he will keep doing theese nice chars justice and have them fight for Violators even after im gone.
Union Leaders channel (which im not realy a 'leader' for, only creator) i leave to Max Powerz and hope he can keep it active, so that new players will still have great on.line tool for running SGs.
Thank you all players that have made this time great. maybe in the future a better run MMORPG starts up, and we will meet again. This is @.Dr Death signing off from City of Heroes/City of Villains. Bye bye. -
ill join u too.. could be fun with something fun to do... but not before the uber-lag thing is fixed.. i hardly played at all recently (and that is exceptional for me) since every 5 min game freaks out and rubberbands me for 1 min or more, making it impossible to fight/move/play... (great work as always, NCSoft)
my tip would be to make it a MOTD in Union Leaders (time and date that is), that way mainly villain SG-leaders will know about it (not that many hero-leaders there, and usually SG-leaders are too mature to ruin a badge-farm) -

too bad to see u lot giving up, Alvan. I know we are having hard and barren days in CoV-EU and only a few will survive. I wish u guys the best of luck on CoH and hope that the less management and adminastrive work, now when focuseed on 1 SG, will be enough to keep u lot alive and active till..... well i was gonna say when activity pops up again, but i dout it will -

After 1 very successfull year as the leading SG in CoV, Violators new finally move to Paragon City to do Community Service and pay for all their prior villainy. As the GvE edition and boredome of CoV is growing, Violators now use their own CoH SG to alt around.
If any1 is interested in joining an experienced crew and skilled players with a strong community, dont hessitate to send a tell to me, @havoc fang or @Bru for an invite to Paragon Violators

well, im not sure if my suspisions are correct, but as i played MM alo of times in RSF and done a good job at it too, id say a well played MM with buffs/debuffs can be just as good as a cor in some ways..
MMs tend to have leadership pool, besides vengeance, the use of the rest powers as stacked buffs are a good tool.. ie a few manouvers up and running will count as 1 purp for entire team.. that is good.. a few assault will also stack up good and lower AV-Kill time enogh to make difference..
dark maisma - is without a doubt in my experience a very hande, or even important set in RSF. Alot stronger -acc than a rad cor and every1 knows the benefit of having that AoE heal in a team whipe
Force Field - This is the set i have, and i have the belief that personal bubbs + dispersion bubbs + protector bots bubs really have an impact on team survival.. (this after analysing the team performance during buff period and after when the bubbles fade.. thoose times i forget or die so the bubbs dont get renewed, team almost always whipes out when buffs fall..)
Pets as decoys - Pets, just as im sure many noticed with shivans, creates a distractions to the AVs. Usually my bots live as long as the initial buffs are up (i usually dont bother with re-bufing pets, focusing on team instead) as their buffs drop, so do they and during that time the team aggro appears to be less devestating, and im pretty sure this have a significally diff to team survival rate..
the only point were i truely feel MMs lack effectiveness, is in the end fighting the few last remaining AVs, mainly Statesman solo, where pets get instant-whiped, and will be innihalated as soon as i try to respawn them, making the team suffer a small DPS issue, as i wont add any dmg to team. however this is in the end of the FP-mish, and by now, my DPS isnt as needed as it was in the initial sequence of the mish...
Usually in RSF, as in any other team in PvE, u get most efficiency and supremacy when having a good blend of ATs.. never have 4 corrs, 4 brutes, its bound to fail.. dont ask why lol...
Regarding Bru's RSF thing, im game.. both me and Max have done several RSFs together with BJB, and i think its important to know that it can be beaten even tho team may suffer a few whipeouts.. u can count me in for more or less all RSF runs made -
As said, i agrea on one major issue in RSF theese days ar that ppl cant pull it together when facing the tough FP. in my last 4 runs ive had 3 of hem destroyed due to ppl leaving, for no real reason. we usually manage to reach FP in 2 hours, but as soon as the 1st pull fails, morale goes down the floor. Ppl start whining about the procedure, who to target, use of shivans, sucess-possibility and so on... once 1 team-member drops, Team DPS is lowered to 87.5% that means that if it takes 4 min to kill an AV, its now increased to 4:30 and that last half a min can be very fatal for the team..
I think what we need to do is to gather up the old-timers of RSF and add 1-3 new ppl so they get inspired and see how a skilled/experienced crew works together to make sure final victory.. imagine a pick up team spending 10 hours in RSF, without any1 dropping?? sortof the same team-idea BJB used, where he only added a few pickups, to ensure win, with mostly the same core every time. a determined and skilled team would easy do RSF in less than 3 hours, so u lot thats still active from the BJB-teams, make a post of intereset and we can arrange a good team again. -

, I run one of the most active SGs on Union, and got very active coalitions. we usually have np aranging an SG-RSF team, but i was hoping to get some outsiders as well, to increase the overall skill/experience on RSF. the only obstacle i see is that i start 1 hour earlier than usual (we usually do SG-RSFs at 11am, and never have issues making a team), but i dont give up that easy lol.

Uber in this content mean power that boost toon above normal level, not that MoG is as good as unstop or elude
lol.. that is up to each and one of us to have opinions on (and i know we all do)
regarding raids, i (me and my SG i should say lol) ´have done alot on live servers, enduring several of the bugs that been in there, and in my opinion, its one of the best contents in CoX atm, even tho the lack of SGs interested in it does narrow it down alot. i can imagine US servers being alot more fun to raid, since here are alot more possible that u can mount 10+ ppl for a raid, and have more than 5-6 SGs to raid lol... if u have issues finding opponents to raid, we would gladly join up for some friendly raiding. its usually not that hard to plan, just time, date and cross ur fingers that both sides get enough/even matched numbers of ppl online.. a few good raids usually boost interest and will make ppl interested and makes the effort to keep joining them. Let me know if ur interested.. oh.. i should mention im on Union, not sure where u are,hammerfall :P but the invite is public to any1 interested tho -
i haveto disagrea on this topic. I myself play MM in raids, and feel its no real diff from the other ATs. The effect of gank-squads are painfull and can be hard to penetrate, but remember that camp-spawning is the weak partys tactics, and even tho its effective, it has a few major weaknessess, and once u penetrate a spawn-camp, the defenders take so much tactical and organising dmg, they loose the raid.
Regarding the spawn situation, i have to say that i like it better now, than before. it used to randomize every attackers spawn initailly on entry, then the single attacker would use this spawn every time. This meant ganking was easier, since a well organised team could guard all spawn spots at once, and never face more than 2-3 at once.
The new way of entry, means that entire team will come through the same spot, this increases the tactical advantege of the attackers. The defenders are unaware of what spawn-spot that will be used, and have to keep defenders spread out initially. when a full attacking squad enters the enemy base fully buffed, they have a good chance of doing this together (only flaw i can see is diff time in zoning that can mess things up).
if u want my experienced oppinion, id say this is one good way to fight as attacking MM:
all attackers buf up before entry, send in brutes 1st and let them taunt aggro, send in the rest. start a healing blanket, but keep on the defensive side untill every1 has enter and set up. Most MMs have good bufs/debuffs so use this initially and forget about the pets for a few min till ur team is secure and organised. Now u summon pets, guarded by taunting brutes and healing corrs... at this point, 90% of all defending SGs wil be frustrated, scared and/or disorganised, and the attacker should have no problem penetrating the spawn camp.. and then the base is fragile and completely open. Ive done alot of raids, but ive never seen a SG recover once their camp has been penetrated.
further should be said that brutes/tanks/scrapper can easily slip through a spawn camp with uber-powers like MoG or unstop (or hyper Phase shift). that means the camp has to split to follow up and chase, leaving the camp devided and alot easier to defeat for the rest of the 15 attacker that should have the numbers on their side by now.
We used to rely on the spawn camping as well, just as every1 else, but i left that tactic due to the weakness it has when its penetrated. Im sure that any of thoose visiting our base would agrea they prefer to face us camping the spawns, rather than defending our objectives. (this ofcourse demands skill from the defnders, unlike spawn camping, but is a lot stronger in the long run)
Try not to see whats wrong with the raids, but what u can do to find new ways to win... exploits/flaws like spawn camping can never be excluded or completely removed, since people have a distinct skill of constantly defeating the system and find small loop-holes that can be used for their advantage. Analyse, evaluate, research and try again.. no defense is 100% effective.. no player is impossible to defeat, no AT is supreme/useless.. there is no spoon....... -

To be of interest u need to have fully reloaded shivans, and Vengeance is regarded as a huge plus.
Preferred sets are:
Brutes, any sets with taunt (and i mean the power taunt)
Corrs, any sets. Dark maisma, rads and kins are usually best suited.
1 stalker, pref SR with snipe. only taking in 1 stalker, but they do serve a purpouse, despite of the official oppinion regarding them as gimped for RSF.
Obviously, i expect serious/mature players that are determined and motivated. in my pretty extended experience regarding RSF, there is no gimped/unsuited toons, only players.. the worst imagine sets works great controlled by a good player, and a perfect RSF-toon is gimped when player act as a brat...
If interest is, and team can be made i will do a 2nd run starting 6pm (UK time) on saturday evening, same config for that one. -

yea, it as great fun doing SFs, even tho sometimes dont always fit my schedual, im sure members of Violators are thankfull for every serious attempts at SFs in general.. regarding RSFs, im not sure about Brus experince in that matter, but i will try to learn him everything i know about it, as soon as my RL permitts me to do some more frequent runs again..

actually, the auto-demotion works on joined status.. the highest ranked char the has been in the SG for the longest time will get promoted.. not sure if it checks activity on thoose and skip them, or u have to wait 15 days each tho

Well.. another great player eats the dust... BJB and i did alot of RSFs together and i hope i can pass as much as possible of his knowledge of it before i walk the same path as many other great men done the last few months........ but why give account to max?? that inbreed needs no more HOs.. guess its RSF-farming in Violators from now on

me and bru arent shy, and i would love to give u a guided tour of the Base.. tho EVIL are, just like every younger brother, a bit childish and keeps their closed for strategic purpouses (so they claim atleast) -
yea.. bru is correct on this issue.. and we all agread on that the devs misstaken this bug to be not so high priority, coz no1 can afford it, or have this high enedrgy consumption..... wrong.. i cant wait for the day we can finally buy this item and rid us from all energy issues
