Aha - time to get that new scanner plugged in, get out the crayons and tissue paper and 'collage' my way to victory

...These aren't all of the creative things I've done since January, but I'd say they're probably the best things to choose from, if anyone were so inclined. On a totally unrelated note...Bridger, if you're going to the London Comic Con on the 1st, remind me to buy you a pint or two...
June - Swissy, for his sketch on Sayia's "Can someone draw this?"
Very good use of lighting and shadow and he sketched it all in fineliner which gives it good definition. I'd rather nominate someone who actually picked up a pen and drew something than any fanfiction as I think they've had enough Creative Genius awards over the last few periods it was being run to justify some variety. I also didn't think giving it to someone for a Windows Paint 1 minute doodle was very fair given the level of quality in some of the artwork here, it's a slap in the face to them. Nominating yourself is pretty shameful too IMO.

Just in case you didn't notice my BOLD LETTERS, mine weren't nominations and I'd consider a MS Paint work as strong as the Mona Lisa if it amused me more.
Genius doesn't necessarily mean time spent, it tends to mean realisation of an idea.
Just as an added point, and not self-promotion for once, there's been 400 views of this in 4 days and only 3/4 votes in. Is there something stopping people?

I think it's just the long time-frame. While it's easy to nominate something you came across last week, it's harder to remember what you read and liked five months ago.
Nods to Leif, that was partly my vain hope in pasting some links that I remember people enjoying. My own way of doing it was pulling back my comments on 1 year and searching through for ones I'd commented on. Still took me an hour or two.
Might bring back the Celebrity Death Match or Caption Competition for next month then

As is probably obvious, I have fallen well behind with the Creative Genius competition. For this, you have my apologies.
In order to try and rectify this situation, we've decided to try a slightly different approach to this regular competition, where you, our creative players, will nominate entries for each month's Creative Genius, and we will pick a winner from each month's nominations.
For full details, please see the updated Be a Creative Genius and win!
The first nominations thread (for June's Creative Genius) will be posted in the first week of July.
In the meantime, please see Creative Genius Nominations - October to May, where you will be able to nominate previous entries for the past few months, in order to bring us up to date.
Once again, my apologies for letting Creative Genius slip behind. Hopefully the new system will prove more effective. If you have any comments, suggestions or questions, please post them here.
