travel powers
Flight is certainly perfectly adequate for a brute. 3 Fly speed enhancers in it and you'll have no real problems. Asside from anything else Grandeville is a pain without Fly really (or certainly easier with it)
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
For EM/EA, I went with SuperSpeed, for Hasten and the stealth which stacks with Energy Cloak. I've also taken Combat Jumping (but not superleap) because the defence stacks very nicely with your other defences.
When you hit SO's, with Energy Cloak & Kinetic Shield & Power Shield you'll be looking at 25-30% def to most things, which is good but not great - add in the def from CJ, even just 3% slotted, and it's a significant increase in survivability because of the slightly counter-intuitive way def works.
DON'T eat muffins while I'm developing you.
Pants! Turkey Magnates! A man in a box! Rogue AI! Come one, come all, to arc ID 10107 - It's 'Not as long as some other arcs'!
I went for fly, so i could get Air Sup in the build.
However I've also now got Hasten, but having seen Grandville there's no way I'm getting SS
I think it's down to how you want your character to look as well, go for what you feel you want and not just the min/max builder type.
Air Superiority is one of my SS/Inv brutes favourite attacks, same damage as punch and flips loadsa goodies in the air, chained properly with haymaker can keep foes on there backs for the whole fight.
Combat Jumping helps negate some of your loss of Def with Unyeilding, and increases your vertical movement, and adds to your Immob res, very handy again.
Hasten increses your attack Rate by 70% I think, not sure on that, but that'd be 70% of the 50% of your recharge time, but when it runs out your end drops quite a bit.
The teleport ones are team and tactic specific.
So at the end of the day it's down to you.
I prefer Jumping a lot with my Def based alts, but Air Superiority wins the day for my Res based Brutes with Inv, and hasten doesn't really get much of a look in as with 6 or 7 attacks in most of my attack chains by the time my Brutes reach 32 I always have one to use.
Good luck and happy hunting.
As you may have noticed it's the pre-travel powers I looked at as any movement power at the end of the day will do really.

[/ QUOTE ]It doesn't drop that much, it's pretty much the equivalent of an AoE attack, 20 end IIRC. If you take into account how long it lasts, that's very little over time.
a question i have yet not to awnser my self is the question of what is the best travel power for a brute to have a ss/inv brute and he looks noobish beacause got flight
any idears on what i should get for my em/ea brute
