don't think I've ever seen one of these in the zones... well OK in sirens as I don't really go in the others... are they any good?

Got a lvl 20 TA.

They need some love, low end cost ont he arrows doesn't make of for the fact that the debuffs are pretty pants and have long animation time.

I've seen 'one' goes by the name of foresight (sorry forgot his username on the boards here ). A hoot to play with and against in the pvp zones. Unfortunately and I think he'd prolly agree with me that they need lots of loving as warmdue stated. Their slow and debuffs can be annoying but their animations are just to long.

I've been in Sirens a few times. Pretty fun Oil slick messing with AS is nice and glue arrow seems to annoy villains too.

well.. maybe the changes mentioned for TA in I7 will improve their ability in PvP then... although, I guess they aren't changing the animation times.

gives me a while to get my little one lvled up in that case

I've only been in a couple of times, and it seems my TA is just like any other defender - not enough damage to kill someone on their own, but god, am I annoying. Acid Arrow is excellent for irritating stalkers - that DoT component kills Hide for ages. Brutes hate the Glue Arrow, in fact everyone does (the first thing everyone does when hit with it is try and run, very, very slowly).

Because most of TA's AoE's are location-based, it's often hard to use them against constantly moving players (and if they're any good, they will be constantly moving). So the best time to use them is when heroes are outnumbered in the zone and all the villains are clumped together in a bunch at the end of the hospital trying to TP Foe them out of the base. I used to love jumping on to the hospital roof and hitting them with everything I had. Doing that a couple of times a) persuaded them to give the heroes some room to get out (or at least, not wait right at that junction) and b) made them go for me first. Bit of a shame I respecced out SJ, really.

Trick arrow is just awesome on controllers.

Fire/Trick arrow is uber.

Hmm, I might try an Illusion/Trick Arrow controller. Is Illusion any good in PvP?

It's a controller primary, right? Then yes.

Ah, good. I've just made an Illusion/TA controller anyways, and the damage output is rather nice (entangling arrow + spectral wounds ftw).

They're great teamed with a damage dealer. Glue Arrow is a good slow and oil slick is pretty burntacular. Also, don't underestimate entangling arrow to stop foes flying away. A quick glue arrow ---> Disruption(?) Arrow ---> Acid Arrow is a pretty sizeable resistance debuff for taking down better defended enemies. Ice Arrow's not that great until it's slotted with SO's when it'll make for a better way of holding types with no mez protection.

What they don't offer, however, is any buffs so don't expect them to be thinking about keeping you alive because they're pretty much only about the fastest way to make the enemy dead.

Edit: I've just been in Siren's tonight actually and I've managed to top someone's list for most annoying powerset so that's something.

Was good teaming with Trick Archery
I think it might be underestimated.
