Truth be told, my MM was put on limbo status untill yesterday where i could test the new MM changes on Test Server.

Keep in mind i didn't read a whole lot about the new changes, hence my jaw dropped as i summoned my robots and upgraded them. The reduced time on the upgrade lvl
32 is such that you and i will have to put more than one end reducer to not be forced to munch on blues at every missions starts.

My MM was just 36 so i couldn't test RV PvP zone with him. But in Warburg i found another lost Unionist Cold War. We did some test and i was blown away by the bodyguard features. Not only i survived but there wasn't much he could do(ice/device blaster). Where as before my MM in any PvP zone felt like shouting on broadcast chat "I'm here, come bag yourself an easy kill". I kinda feel like the big man on campus now.

Granted there are lots of counter against bodyguarded MM's, such as nasty AOE, TP foe, massive debuffs and so on. It is really huge step forward for MM as far as their survivability in PvP is concerned. As for PvE, frankly it didn't changed my playstyle at all, certainly because i end up solo'ing with him, but with the reduced upgrade timer i can see myself teaming aagain.

I can also see (for fun) MM grabing the aoe taunt just to show you how much damage you can suck up!

Level 32 upgrade recharge reduction = BEST ISSUE EVER.

Time spent preparing/recovering the troops has gone down to less than a minute from over five.

Excellent. Will now get two enhancement slots to use elsewhere. Not bad. Not bad at all. Soon the World shall fall under the footsteps of our countless minions! Muahaha! Muahaha! Muaha... *Takes a pill* Well then. Nice job. Carry on. *Falls asleep*

The bodyguard feature is fun, but serious dangerous.

I was doing 1 mayhem mission where i got a claw/SR scrapper-like hero (even lvl, orange to me), the first slash she gave me wooshed my 1st and 2nd tier pets straight to nearly 0, after that she did the aoe claw-attack and only my big bot was left in battle blinking red hp-bar.

I think only dark has serious use of this feature, since they are the only 1 able to do a aoe heal. Maybe in teaming with a rad/fire/kin corrupter it might be more safe, but i think twice before putting them in defence mode

vs normal mobs (lts, maybe bosses) its a awsome feature, but vs EB/AV or anything else 'strong', its serious dangerous to use.

But under circumstances of non-Bodyguard the first strike would probably have taken you out. With Bodyguard you were still standing (albeit low on henches!)

It's a very useful ability - only the dodgy pet AI spoils it somewhat.

I never knew bodyguard activated automatically

Having completed my first mayhem mission I flew about with the raptor pack, watching my bots following at grtound level.

I then decided to drop to the ground reducing me to about 20-30 health (red). Immediately my bots went from aggressive to defensive and began attacking the group of gold brickers I had aggroed on hitting the ground

It doesn't.

It is automatically on when your henches are in Defensive/Follow. It is off otherwise. Defensive/Aggressive/Passive will never change unless you issue a command that does so.

Attack My Target will change to Follow when there are no more targets (Aggressive), or no targets attacking the henchman/you (Defensive) or if their chosen target is dead (Passive)

Follow will remain as Follow, but henchmen will stop following to attack (Defensive or Aggressive).

Stay will remain as Stay, but henchmen will attack according to their Defensive or Aggressive stance.

Goto will remain as Goto, but henchmen will attack according to their Defensive or Aggressive stance.

So, if a henchman is in Defensive/Follow they will remain in Defensive Follow (reacting to threats) until you issue a command.

So....set Wimpy_bots to Save_my_a** & Stompy_Bots to Search and Dissect.

Increased Defence and no real loss in Blasting

Actual - set all bots to save my posterior, then aggro the mobs yourself

All your henchmen turn and fire, but continue to provide Bodyguard coverage.

No loss of firepower, and no loss of defense!

That was my new tactics on my trickarrow MM, hopefully its a bug in I7, but sometimes it takes quite a while for the pets to understand i'm under fire (thus also them) and they have to return fire.

Add the fact Medics healing is a big bugged, still have to train my mercs alot

Aaah....but you still have aggro, so you're likely to be shredded. My way means the S&D bots get the aggro
