Assault doesnt provide +perception, like goggles and tactics.
That stalker was prolly using stealth+hide+grant invis (even superspeed maybe) stacked. Grant invis, as u sure know, can only be given by a fellow player (2 stalkers with grant invis buffing each other FTW!

IIRC (and just to be pedantic before MaX can be) it was removed for PCs but it remains for NPCs.

Tactics on your own blaster is less effective than being in range of a defenders tactics field.. A lot less effective in fact. Thus it is always best to be buffed by defenders 
(assault just shortens the effect of placate btw)

I actually meant that SS still provides stealth against NPCs in PvP zones, just not against other players.

I've been rucking in Siren's for the last few days and absolutely loving it, there is a huge stalker influx & we've had some great fights.
Thing is, I had Tactics, Assault & IR Goggles running on my blaster and there was at least one stalker who could get in VERY close before even slightly appearing.
Anyone else found this?
If you know, i'd love to know what powers are stacked & how they are slotted, as i'm due to respec my stalker!!!
