So am I on ignore?
What's that? Sure I heard someone speaking then but I guess not. Anyone seen Weaasel about?
TBH, I've noticed this too. It pops up for everyone in the zone as soon as the mission completes. The only problem there is that the people actually completing it are in the mission map so don't even get to see it
ur zone buffs/de-buffs appear by ur other icons (inherent, stamina, toggles etc), just right click on it to find out what they're doing
Umm, yeah, but the thing about those icons is that they're entirely binary - all they'll do is tell you if you're buffed or debuffed, not HOW MUCH... could be anything from 1% to 15%.
You also can't see whether the other side is buffed or debuffed, at all.
Anyway, a simple workaround would be to Broadcast the question as soon as you get out of the mission - everybody else in the zone will have just heard what the current buff/debuff status is, and somebody will probably be willing to tell you. But I agree, the team doing the mission should have an easier way to find out...
u get told what the buff/debuff effect of the mission will be when u select it
Yes, but only what % your mission will do. If two or three other people also complete missions while you are doing yours, you have no idea of the 'total' current duff/debuff bonuses available to you.

Really? I've never seen this...will look closer next time. (I know it tells you what sort of buff/debuff it is, but I've never been able to see numbers)

u dont get numbers just what the effect will be
Also, there was an interesting bug (the last time I checked), where if you started the game through City of Villains, then picked a hero, or if you opened the game through City of Heroes, and picked a villain... when you complete a buffing mission for your own team, it says you buffed the enemy. Uhm.. lemme explain that a bit better :
Opened game with : City of Villains updater
Played PVP mission with : Hero
Mission complete message : Captain Hero buffed the villains!
Opened game with : City of Heroes updater
Played PVP mission with : Villain
Mission complete message : Sgt Nasty buffed the Heroes!
It gets confusing, eh? It seems which updater you open sets who to call your allies. Because I dont have the foggiest clue on how to actually check, could this actually be buffing your enemy/debuffing your allies? Or is this just a hiccup in the naming?
(answer carefully, devs )

I think it depends on the current buffs. If the heroes are buffed by 10% and Sgt nasty does a mission. It will say something like "Sgt nasty completed a mission. the heroes now have a 9% buff to dwarf tossing abilities". So even though Sgt nasty is a baddie, it says uses the word "buff".
Least, thats the way I read it. Confused me for a while too.
My MA IDs:
Fiend Space: 211464
Oh, I understand now. When the responding message sounds off, its not actually saying how much you buffed/debuffed them by, its saying how much buff/debuff the side has [/i]in total[/i].
*facepalm*
Thanks for clearing that up.
Yeah, that confused me for a while. I thought I'd spent the last hour or so buffing the wrong side!
Just found this rather annoying.
When you complete a buff/de-buff mission, the NPC says he'll broadcast it to the rest of the zone, which he does, but leaves you, or your team, out, so you've no idea what the current buff/de-buff situation is. Sort of hard to choose what mission to take then.
