best all round?
I vote for Dark/Dark
Ok it can be an endurance hog but if you slot it for end redux and take the fantastic dark consumption power, endurance fails to be an issue.
Dark also gives you resistance to just about everything (including holds) except for knockback which with the addition of acrobatics ceases to be an issue.
If you want something less end hungry on the attack side.. try Energy/Dark.

When inv gets invicible it gets good, really good.
I dont think Dark is that good an offensive power for a brute, but it is nice and safe. I'm not a fan of SS, cause of the fury loss during rage's pause, but footstomp makes the set worthwhile.
Inv can have a much better staying power, but its mostly S&L, where as EN has a fairly good split of defence, none of it really that high though.

You might have meant Dark Melee/Energy Aura, this can solve your Endurance problems without having to take the Fitness Pool at all. EA is mostly DEF based though which right now isn't so great. The -Acc in DM is a good match for the +Def in EA though. EA has a great anti-mezz which also protects against Repel and TP in PvP.
Ok i currently have a lvl32 ss/en and a low lvl14 dark/inv
now my ss/en seems to have a much better deff then my dark/inv but my dark/inv builds rage much faster.
So what i wish to know it this, which primary that does the best dmg for the least amount of end used, and it needs fast moves so the rage is high fast.
and which secondary has the best all round defence for the least end. i know a few of the secondarys don't have hold resist but don't worry about that theres always the leaping pp.
