Energy Melee/Dark Armor Build.
I'd take CoD before Death Shroud (if you're set on taking Death Shroud, though with EN being mostly single target it might help) I didn't take Death Shroud cause I saw it as a big end issue waiting to happen.
I'd have Barage instead of Energy Punch, builds fury nicely, replaces Brawl, and is generally very handy.
I like having Build Up in my build but its really not something I use that often, mostly at the start of fights. I currently have 3 rchg reds in it, but will be changing to 1 when I respec. Maybe move that to later and bring CoD forward

I'd not take / didn't take CoD at all, Stealth = less agrro = less Fury

I have both Barrage and Energy Punch, and not Whirling Hands. Not enough damage in the AoE for me.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the usefulness of Build-Up anymore myself. Good to have, not exactly a crisis if you don't.
Two AoEs give agro with CoD running, am sure that Death Shroud alone would pull through it. Mostly its a thin layer of defence, a good imob protection and a way of ghosting missions if you dont like what you see inside.
I find AoEs unbelievably helpfull, but then maybe Fire ones are much nicer than the En ones. They also hold agro better than the damage aura's, so a good way to pull from other brutes and keep your own fury high.
Sometimes I forget I have build up, that's how usefull it is

erm, good immob protection? the scrapper version is mag1, i cant see the brute version be any higher (even mag2 is pretty useless)

Has kept me unimob'd for 14 levels now, with one exception, multiple Singularities. Not needed to turn CJ on to back it up and am freequently on large teams. Maybe I'm just lucky, but it seems to be working fine for me

I couldn't care less about stealth (and believe me, they'll notice you soon enough).
Ability to get close to spec-ops before they see you + perception = Worth the power pick.
I'm levelling up my 2nd Villain thinking 'Why the hell didn't I notice how annoying smoke grenades were before? ... oh yeah.'

you into the world
my first post!!!anyway...
hmm i would take hasten at level 6 and not bother with whirling hands until later,i strongly agree with the build from 14-22 couldnt be better

this was my initial thought, but now that i have barrage (wrong power picked in planner only), bone smasher and whirling hands. with brawl on auto. i can perfectly keep on SMASHing happily. So thats why i left hasten for later. furthermore, CoD is indeed not picked for stealth, i know for a fact that on my scrapper death shroud easily negates the stealth effect (any attack does afaik) but more for the +perc. and offcourse for being the big black cloud with red puffballs of DOOOOOOM!

Hey there, im new to playing brutes. But i like the melee classes (specially scrappers ) And i know brutes play differently, but im having a blast with my fluffy cloud with pompoms of doom. Now at lvl 7.
So with the small bit of knowledge i have, i cooked up this build. Mind you, i didn't take CoF or OG because i don't really like them on my Scrapper. And i picked ST because the idea behind it is cool (altho the power in itself is pants). Any gaping holes you brute experts can see?
