I personally benefit from TFs in a different way. I'd rather log in as Blademan and exemplar down getting only prestige and influence which is good but I enjoy the teaming with friends that I have a laugh with and are fun, perhaps I'm turning in to an old woman and I enjoy the bantering and getting a glimpse of real lives these days. 
This doesn't mean to say that I don't enjoy getting xp for characters and heading towards the next level, hopefully it has a power. 
I think it would be difficult to be involved in many TFs with that character before they outlevel the next TF, particularly if played often, so they must exemplar to still be involved.
If I had a wish, it would be that eight friends create a character, with one of each of the 5 standard origins and allow the remaining 3 to be any of these 5 origins.
They would be used exclusively to team together and do missions or taskforces and hypothetically levelling at roughly the same time. If real life meant someone could not continue, then everyone would just log out and bring on one of their regular toons and play as they would any other time.
Shortage of slots would probably mean another server and it could be a separate SG consisting of just the 8. It would probably take 10-20 years to get to level 50 but these characters would be solely for the fun of playing as a group of friends, and nothing more.
I suppose it would be like those people who have created a character solely for PvP, and this idea is probably not original but hey we can all dream and I am a bit of a daydreamer (lots of ideas always going through my head but never coming to fruition) .

Hmm you slightly got it.
Basically we have enough prestige now that unless we're gonna save for a bigger plot (which I don't see us needing for a while), we don't really need any more for now. We've also got plenty of influence floating around our toons to top anyone up if they need it, so no sweat there.
I'm not saying that I want to have a toon in the range to get xp, I'm happy helping others on TFs. But when there is only one of us that's getting XP (forgetting that random that joined in for it 
) it seems that it's a bit of a waste.
We have plenty of other toons coming up, so things like Synapse or Moonfire might be more beneficial to more people. The Croatoa one last night was good though, loads of us got lots of badges and plenty of progress towards accolades, and the SOs were dropping like mad, which was nice. I guess if we wanted to do so we could farm that first mish and get loads of SOs as we move up (negating the need for inf higher up perhaps), shrug.
Most TFs are just gonna drop the one badge and one SO though, which is kinda a pain.
So on that note, maybe we should schedule the next TF for a week and a bit's time (since I'll be out of the country this weekend), maybe for Moonfire, if Static and Trig are in the right ranges still. It'll mean about 4 of us currently in the right range at the moment, and a couple very close to pushing into the 20s anyway, so could make that by then.
Sound like a plan? I'm sure that whoever is too big for the level ranges will still be able to get the badge, since I doubt most of us have it (Tech does, cause he's a badgehunter).

Well depends on what you're after. Watching that Rad defender in action the other day in Sirens was a wakeup call, I didn't realise those debuffs were so strong!
I was thinking of rolling either a rad defender or a rad troller. Not sure yet. A rad defender has blasts, but I'm not sure if I like blasts overly. A rad troller though has holds, and containment, and that would really kick some butt, debuff, hold, double-dmg! It would also mean some more stalker-unfriendly powers... Like interrupt ones for AS stopping, or the like?

Well after playing with Sigh My Kin/rad defender. I kinda like it (prob has also something to do with a "travel power" at lvl 6. So I probaly gona play him again. But I might also wana play my stalker or MM Haven't decided yet

Well it certainly took longer than 5 minutes to take down Kronos last night but I have to say that you really felt like you had achieved something when he eventually tumbled.
It was good that there were 4 of us although I was in the guise of Blademan rather than DK but I still felt like an Ascended even though my toon wasn't. Also it's a shame the GM decided to spawn when there were a few of the Ascended absent with their own real life commitments but that's probably happened many times.
Did log in as DK later but then got an invite to join another online friends SG night with Blademan. Don't know about you guys but I still love playing my 50 even though he's nearly 14 months old.
Will be back with DK tonight with luck and hopefully getting into a team so I can get rid of that Envoy of Shadows (gradually becoming the bane of my life that one ), and I have my Tina Macintyre first mission which looks like the Clockwork king. No solo missions for me I think . Although they may be elite-bosses now but having said that, the Envoy of Shadows was and he's stomped on me a few times, and on that note, just wanted to say that the bases medical facility is very comfortable hehehe.

I doubt he's been a 50 for 14 months And yeah I still play Tech loads, as I'm sure you've noticed! Lately he was stuck on a mission while I was working on a badge with him, so I wasn't that keen, but now that that's over he's ripping through Malta once more.
And WOW that Kronos was huge! As soon as I saw him I did a /demorecord, so we've got the whole depressing fight on record 
. Badged up though, which was the main reason I was working through that arc. There's another Kronos further in, that I'm planning to share with the badgehunters global channel, as some wanted this last one but couldn't make it. If I'd known it was coming, I'd have held the mission so they could be around for the spawn.
Took my 'other' controller out for a walk last night with Trig (hadn't had him out for a couple of months at least), was great got a new level and am flying now Level 22 seems a bit late to pick it up, but hey, lol. Would like to stock him out with SOs so if someone can be a middleman from one of my other toons... Not really relevant to this thread since technically he's in another SG (shhh don't tell anyone). Might move him over since his perma-partners aren't playing them anymore. Ah well.
Not sure of my plans tonight. I'm flying to Sweden tomorrow, so might need to pack. Doubt it though, heh.

You may have already noticed, but I have taken Black out of the sg,just for a while, till I see what else is out there (prolly nothing) but I'm just not enjoying it anymore. Will most likely still see you guys in game or when shade/lace comes out. Main reason for this is, no ones seems friendly anymore, no teams my lvl and a few other things. Please dont take this as an offence to anyone in particular. Cyas around maybe guys. Sorry. 
Sad that your unhappy, and your perhaps doing what is best for you (which you should). If your after a team or want to team up and I'm not mixed up in other things then ALWAYS give a shout, I will exemplar/sidekick one of my characters. I have said a lot lately that for me it's more about teaming with mates and having fun, than anything else, which is what games are all about .....FUN.
I still want DK at 50 though.
Small SGs can suffer with regards to no one at correct levels and it's a shame we all didn't have characters like pen and paper RPGs where we make an arrangement and play these characters only on that day so we never get too far away from each other. I suppose it is possible but maybe it is too difficult to do this. It would probably solve teaming problems but there are probably fewer pros than cons on that idea. Maybe it has already been done and hasn't worked in the past ?
All I can say is that I am still playing and would love to be doing so for a long time and that my online friends were doing likewise. Of course real life takes control but maybe the friends I've made in game won't be restricted to just the game, and last longer. I go off on a tangent as per usual.
Anyway what I said in my first paragraph about giving a shout, please do it and this apples to all marras, I'm very approachable (I think).

Hrm I wouldn't say that there being nobody at my lvl in the sg to be my main reason for leaving. I just see that you are all off on your own thing and certain people have just gone cold. Ah well, never mind, S*%t happens as they say.
I had great fun last night lvling my other Regen scrapper to the next power (Yay finaly travels) I hope this will continue, cause I don't mind being sked (see it as an change to get the sk bagde )

Hello Guys
Not too certain what I have planned tonight. My brother and sister in law play this game as some of you are aware. They both work in hotel/catering and normally have Sunday off, but being as it was Mothering Sunday yesterday, they were both working. I think they may be off tonight so might be doing something with them. (Some non sub online game which isn't half as good as CoH possibly).
If not I may try and get Red Earth to 16 and on that note I noticed a lot of lvl 16s in the SG possibly a regular teaming session with them ?
Otherwise it will be DK as per normal, at lvl41 now so getting there slowly but surely.
I may also play my new creation, of a familiar theme, 'Red Vision' - Level 3 Ill/Rad controller (hands up who hates 'Torrent' hahahaha). A possible replacement controller for 'Red Rays' (I'll hold on to Rays for a bit but I don't think he suits my play style and may eventually vanish into the ether).
Anyway moving on, I hope you and your bro are feeling better D after your emotional rollercoaster of yesterday. Nothing like this game to get your mind off the sad things.

Excellent dude, get li'l blappy to 15, I think that's the minimum. Disco Sal (Red) has been pulled into the SG too, at level 10, who would be good to get in too.
How does Wednesday night or Saturday morning sound for everyone? Thurs isn't good for me, it's poker night (which is turning into beer and darts night, which I'm much better at), and Friday is generally bad for most.
Tonight I was thinking of jumping into the Eden TF with some other random Unioners, it's starting at 7.30 (UK), and should take an hour and a half to a couple of hours, depending on teams. It's pretty much the best TF out there, that I've seen. Level is 39-41 (small range huh ), so Black Lace is near/at that, and so is Blade's alt, so they maybe should give it a go too. Prize at the end is a Titan-O, which is like a double DO, or a mini Hami-O, if you prefer, boosting 2 attributes, I think. Definitely a great prize for an excellent TF. Actually Tech still has one (lvl 41) slotted, lol, completely red and useless, but I haven't respecced since then so haven't had a chance to pull it out.
Will see what happens. Anyone else have any plans/ideas?
Think I can join that TF with Dutch Barb. Have nothing to anyways.
About that TF don't think Wednesday is good for us, Saturday might be better, if I haven't got to work on saturday , but I don't know if bro is here or in Utrecht (where his comp is) shrug will see. Next week maybe

Never tried the Eden TF but wouldn't mind giving it a go, however I suppose as per usual it is fully booked by now so there probably isn't any room left. If there's a space and the team could use a lvl 41 scrapper give me a shout.
I shall probably be stretching DK's legs this evening anyway (though I might have half an hour on Oblivion before logging on. )
Yeah Dutch, Blade, bring on your lads for the Eden Trial. Puma is studying tonight, which is a shame, cause we could have used her healing. I could probably bring on Skull for it instead of Tech, depending on need.
The plan is for a mass gathering at the Hive marker in Eden (not in the Hive itself), and then splitting into groups from there, so it isn't 'full' exactly, but there might be stragglers left over if there are too many. I think I'll bring Tech and Skull on, plant them at the trial point, and wait to see what is needed. If there are enough healers I'll take Tech, even though he's done it and Skull hasn't, I'd prefer to run it again with him.
It really is a neat trial, so if you can make it, might as well do so.
I'm planning on trying out a little Oblivion tonight also, before jumping in. Will see how it goes
Well although we didn't achieve the ultimate goal (Soooo close guys). I reckon if we had a few more greens and a couple more ambrosias then it would have been in the bag. If your Puma wasn't busy, Tech, then there would have been no doubt and it would have been over even quicker. But we really couldn't fault our determination, we never gave up (136k debt doesn't lie ). Mister J, I think earned himself an honorary membership to the Ascended I think and our thanks for his effort (hats off to you matey).
I'm not sure what to do with DK at the moment now being half way to 42. We need that 39-41 to start the TF so I will perhaps concentrate on my alts till we're ready to go for it again, in case. I can sort out the debt later by exemping with some of you guys.
Early days yet but I quite like the look of the Illusion set with 'Red Vision' so might play him for a bit.
I may not be able to join you on the Psynapse? TF if you run it on Sunday afternoon as I think I might be joining Flash and Scorp on something. Sunday is a good day, all told, but unfortunately it's their only normal day off.
Maybe if there's a chance of the morning or another day perhaps but no worries if not.

Most definitely agree on everything here. At the Rock wall when my idea went horribly horribly wrong, I thought everything would crumble there, but everyone stuck it out and eventually we managed get through it.
At one point I looked around at Mister J, and thought 'wow dude, top notch'. I guess he's got enough levels under his belt to know how things can go wrong and can move past it. It reminded me of old hollows days of death and people getting P'Od and running away, I knew the SG would stick it out, but he was an unknown. Was a pleasure.
I know that the 4 of us could totally do it if we tried again, probably in under an hour and a half... With a lot of that spend playing and clearing rooms again.

It would appear the /kin set isn't really your bag I'm thinking Rad might be good for you, or Empathy, but then Ill/Emp would put you in with the same powersets as Skull and Flash's troller Maybe kin will be fine when we get you some SOs though. Yeah this would be most helpful. Experience from seasoned trollers and any advice would be good. The SG should get in the arena and use it for training lol.

Yeah I got sick of MSN Messenger, I have it, but don't log in much unless its for a specific reason. They just continue to bloat it and throw loads of [censored] that I don't want or need into it and it's just [censored] me off enough to toss it.
Google Talk is nice though, little plain white chat boxes. No big fancy smileys etc, if I type :P it comes up blue and isn't replaced with an ugly pic etc... Plus it does voice, pretty well too, which is nice.
Yup certainly was. Went well, although due to a communcication error there were a couple of plants

Was nice to get some higher SOs on Skull though, nicely pleased.
