Oh, and J Dogg, sure, if you want your toons in the SG it shouldn't be a prob. We'll definitely steal that defender! We don't have any for our 14s toons, and an empathy would fit in well . Actually Sigh must be up near that level. I'll get Hot Pants to drag his sorry butt up, when Dutch next brings him on.

Well I'm not against trying something new, but I have no free slots so would have to use an existing toon if we decided to do this.

Actually one of my toons suffers from Tourettes syndrome so it's one for grown ups only

Heh, just had one of the more enjoyable stints as Ashen. Joined a PuG which, for once, did well. Started off as a 7 man group with a mix of defenders, blasters and I think a controller and a tank. Changed quite frequently, as PuG's are inclined to do, but still remained a decent team. Miracle!

Also, Ashen is now three bars into lvl29, so that helped my mood.


EDIT: Oh yes, and Tech and Dutch, you're going to be RP teaming with an Empathy/Archery defender. Fear the uselessness!

Sorry you missed the TF, Ashen, it was a good one, a great team. Ended up only Satisfaction and Dutch Courage on the team at the end though. Red Earth and Miss Mindreader didn't manage to stick around the whole way, which was a pain

Dutch has mentioned he needs the Manticore TF on Dutch Barbarian too. I was thinking a plan could be to bring Dutch Barbarian, Red Earth, Miss Mindreader, Ashen, Skull Bender (or Tech Tower), and a couple of pick ups and run it again in a little while. I'm out for the next week or so (back next Monday night/Tuesday), might be on tonight for a bit, if I can get everything sorted in a workable time. Will see. Can discuss more if this could be a plan for next week sometime. I think it took us a couple of hours, with a couple of short breaks and taking down Lusca in the meanwhile, maybe a bit more. I'd expect another Saturday avo/Sunda morning thing if we do do it.

Anyway, apart from that, we need to discuss the Hunters a bit. They've been a bit neglected lately, due to differing reasons (like Dutch getting Fable ), but the idea currently is having a Hunters evening once a week or something, so we can make sure we're around for a while to play them. Anyone got any days that are constantly bad? Thursdays won't work for most of us, Dutch and Ash are in the roleplaying group, and I've got PvP (till I get knocked out), or poker. Friday nights are notoriously bad, of course, and I think Mondays are pretty crud too.

Ok, enough of the yakkity yak.

Yeah sorry about that.Unfortunately the movie was long and eating afterwards we had to wait 20 minutes for a table (even though they were half empty) Flash and Scorp were pointing out their failures (they know how to provide meals and service efficiently and that's not bias talking).

Would have liked to be there for it but what's done is done.
I don't like to commit to something I won't finish and I was expecting to be back but in hindsight oh well.

As it wasn't just myself then we have a good reason to try again. Least we are still at same sort of levels.

Yeah the hunters need to have a regular run if possible (plus we may have members who we want to bring up to our range so we might need to be on to do that). Difficult to say for definite if there's a bad day. I'm ok for most but I might have occasions that I team with my brother and sis and their days off can vary (think they are most likely Mondays/Wednesdays though).

Power Puncher was just asking about the hunters yesterday, he wanted to run more often too, I'd guess this is an great opportunity. I would love to run the Hunters again.

I finished the main quest on fable so I would be appearing more. hehe.

I posted it on the miltia (I don't like that name, but a well) thread, I hope you read it too and comment .
It's not the greatest story but I think it's not bad.

I liked the bio Dutchie, works with what was talked about on TS without him being too "sneaky". Kind of seems like an overenthusiastic teen who took something he shouldn't have in one moment of weakness. Also I still like that name. Alright there were a few minor things I'd change gramatically, but then there always are with other peoples work. Like they say, it's impossible to critique yourself, others however....

As for a TF I'm always up for one. As long as nothing goes wrong such as schedule conflicts.

Also, it's a shame the hunters weren't on union or I'd be almost certain to have a villain in their level range to help out. As is you'll have to do without me. I'm sure it's a strain.

EDIT: Also, just dinged 31 during a twin IP octopus run. Two of em in an hour. Nice and fun.

Nice one Dutch. Enjoyed reading it. Makes me want to try and create one for one of my chars. If we ever decide to do a Marras IC group maybe I'll put something down on paper.

Thank you Blade, there is nothing stopping you from posting background/stories of your existing characters though .

Just wanted to add that although it was a different approach, Ashens bio was very good.

I have created a bio for my latest character Red Cutman. It needs polishing off a bit, and is a bit long for my toons ID description. I may post it here in full format just to test it or maybe put it into the creative section for a laugh .

Heh, I may at that. My need for alts is flaring again. Though powerlevelling wouldn't be required, it's simple to level at the start. Plus it'd make me feel guilty. If ya wouldn't mind having me along I'd ask what the restrictions are (uniform wise, I already know the "greek letter" hunter naming method).

Yeah, it's the same style I used in Ashen's bio. I just thought it would be nice to have a different type of bio in than just stories and monologues.

Well I think some of us have the specs on the cossie.
But we wouldn't be powerlvl you, we would just sk you and play, that's what we usealy do with one of our own who needs a few lvls. You be amazed what a good team can do lvl wise

Well I have created a bio for my scrapper. I always like to give a little story. I'm not a good writer, but I wish I was. And isn't done in seriousness.

This is a bit long to fit into my ID though but thought I'd share it. If it were good enough I would post it to creative for a laugh.

Forgive the grammer and errors in logic I'm sure they are many but I did rush it a bit. My Katana/Invul scrapper :-

The birth of the Red Cutman

In my hand I hold my blade, my trusty katana and the last gift given to me by my beloved Jessica now gone from this mortal coil. Made by her own hands, the hands of the greatest swordmaker in Paragon. The finest weapon to be made, no not made, created, for it is not of this earth. It has no scratch, no blemish, it cuts through steel like it isn't even there. A flower design decorates both sides of the blade and at the pommel is a smooth clear diamond, and set within it, a lock of auburn hair, yet another reminder of what I have lost.

I hold the pommel to my nose and breath in, hoping to be able to smell the lavender that once adorned her hair, along with the scent of her lipstick and her intoxicating perfume, but they are just memories they no longer exist. I will never be able to taste those sweet lips or whisper into her ears my words of love. Neither will I hear her laughter, a sound that made my heart soar. All are gone and maybe one day my memories will join them.

She was taken from me by the Council exactly one year ago today, to punish me for all the plans I had destroyed. Arresting archon after archon, I was 'The Cutman' hero of Paragon City and the scourge of this villainous group.

I found her poison filled body in Striga where I had tracked the kidnappers down. The poison had worked too quickly that teleporting to the Hospital could not change the outcome. And my rage was insatiable. I lay down in death over a hundred of their strongest warwolves that night. Against my code of arresting for justice they would never breathe again.

Now my vengeance holds no bounds. I now call myself 'Red Cutman', both in memory of my soulmates beautiful tresses and for the blood I will spill on the pavements of Paragon. I shall arrest them, but if some die in my wake then I will not shed a tear. My tears are for only one.

Feel my rage enemies of good,and fear me, know that I am invulnerable and feel the cut of my blade, for your blood is going to flow. I hold the scarlet thread* with my departed lover and in my death I shall follow it back to where she resides. I have no fear for I can never lose.I welcome deaths rewards. Do you ?

*It is said that when two people are truly in love,holding the red yarn will help them find each other in the next life.

Typical sentimental me but not bad for a novice (in my own humble opinion ).Critics please be gentle.

Good story blade, loved it.
An exelent way of begining a new hero.

I liked it. Again like Dutch's there are a few things I would change. To be truthful though they're mainly cosmetic.

As an interesting side-note Ashen also has a council vendetta, being an ex Penumbra operative. I'm tempted to try and outline precisely why in a story. Reading all these bios has got me sparked for some writing for a change.

That didn't go too bad did it Ash, I was there as Badge Hunter..

I'm up for a TF, got Badge to 25 now and not sure which one is next for me, done Posi, Sister and Synapse. Let me know when, Friday night and Sunday night are the only times I can't make really...

Been off work Monday and Tuesday so got some nice time in, Badge has 115 badges now..

Oh yeah, fun fun fun. Nice bit of banter. Some good defenders/scrappers/tankers/controllers/blasters/warshades.....In fact the only thing we didn't have that was good was a peacebringer, and that's just 'cause we didn't have one.

Thanks guys. Yeah it's more of a 'why' rather than a 'who is' piece. And it trailed off a bit in the middle but it fits. If it was a roleplay character, it would give me something to focus around. Might have a go at creating a fuller story and banging it into the creative section. Trouble is I tend to put things off a bit and never get round to it in the end.

Well Red Cutman is level 20 and has his cape and costume mission for when we have a few of us around who wouldn't mind assisting. Also have the Dr Vazhilok mission so a nice origin is available. Another for those around level 20 to help out on.

Shall put him on hold now as it was my aim to get to 20 for teaming with the other 20s in the SG.

How did you guys get on with your RP evening ?
