Repel & my build

OK guys & gals, just wondering if I should take Kinetics - Repel power?

With my build (posted below but is extremely rough so I expect to be ripped apart on this), I have taken repel but at a cost of either not choosing Crush or Increase Density.

Should I swap repel out for Increase Density or take a power pool instead?

Hmm.. choices, choices. Anyway.. heres my extremely rough build (advice on this too would be appriciated - Im not going to pvp till I hit 50 or so).

Lol querying myself now.. Inertial reduction & siphon speed. Are they needed when I have Super jump? If remove inertial reduction, what do I switch it out for?

Don't know much about Grav, but will comment on some of the other powers.

If you definitely want Acrobatics, then skip Inertial Reduction (if you want to keep it, just 1 slot for Jump). Even for PvP purposes (i.e. unsuppressable movement), Combat Jumping (slot for Jump, not Def) will do the trick (in which case I would choose Hurdle instead of Health). Drop the endred on SJ. Drop the rechgs on SB and Acrobatics. Use those slots on Transference (2 acc 2 endmod 2 rechg). No point in adding a 4th slot in Stamina. I would go 1 acc 2 rechg on SSpeed and SPower, 2 acc if you really find you're missing a lot. Haven't tried Repel, so can't comment on that. Increase Density is a good buff for teaming, but it becomes a pain if you have to spam both ID and SB on large teams.

yeah defo ditch superjump as SS and IR will cover ur travelling plus there is no delays in IR after attack so its good for PvP.. other than that its pretty gd. Quite similar to my build infact apart from the epics
I don't think repel is needed to be honest. It sucks an
awful amount of endurance and u shud b ok keeping out of melee with ur SS and IR.
One more thing.. for slotting my Singularity i made it a minitroller. Don't worry about its dmg because its dmg isnt that good anyway. I slotted mine for holds and ranges. I love casting mine into a grp watchin em all get repelled n then smokin em all heh.
Good Luck

Fully agree with statboy here.
I prefer the sj pool over inertial and especially not take them both. CJ and acro are really worth it. They provide the much needed status protection.

And in addition i'd suggest to ad the second accu in siph speed because it has a rather long recharge so you don't want it to miss. Maybe add a second accu in siph power too if you can spare the slot.

I have heard pro's and con's about taking a travel power with this build.

It all comes down to if I can survive running through a map with higher lvl baddies around and relying on a power hitting them for me to travel. Plus this also runs the risk of aggro'ing a group which has happened a lot in hollows atm.

I have taken the siphon speed, and have taken combat jumping and slotted for defence. I dont like the idea of relying on hitting higher lvl baddies to get a travel power, so i think i will go for SJ.

Im not sure about taking IR or not. could prove helpful in PVP in later lvls as i will be able to provide a team with increased movement, but then again.. who needs to be given a travel power at lvl 28?

I will probably end up respec him at lvl 35 or so, or possibly take him out for a test run on test server.

Thanks guys.. given me a lot to think about

What I did for my /kin was to take Air Superiority early (for an extra attack which is not bad with containment) and Fly at 14. Then I respecced at 28 into Inertial Reduction as my travel power, and dropped the 2 Flight powers. It all depends if you prefer the Leaping pool for the status protection. I agree that Siphon Speed is a bit dangerous to use as a travel power since you have to use it against higher level foes in some zones. I mainly use it for the rechg effects, and for some extra speed inside maps.

On the Grav side, personally I'd take Crush over Crushing Field. It'll be just as efficient for setting up containment (since you don't have an AoE attack to follow up with), do more damage itself and draw less aggro. Of course I soloed mainly so YMMV.

I'd also be inclined to find an extra slot for Gravity Distortion Field and slot 2 Acc, 2 Rechg, 2 Hold. I don't think it's up often enough to really need EndRdx even with Rechg added.
