not having been related to this thread atm, but still my reply from a perspective

I should have read through things more carefully after not having played for about a year I think. *g* I wonder: Will the developers adjust CoV to a degree where it offers the same max character level and class selection possibilities or will they continue working on both parts with same intensity giving CoH a permanent edge over CoV? However, these thoughts are off topic here ... so I shouldn't bother about it now.
Isn't CoV gaining level 50's in issue 7?
I could be wrong, It's quite late and I feel half asleep!
I suspect that, with 4 new epic archetypes coming (Avilans, Incarnates, Corolax and Blood of the Black Stream) it's likely the Heroes will get Incarnates, giving 3, and Villains will get the other 3, meaning 3 each. Just my take on it.

I recall reading somewhere a 50 villain once can will give you a kheld since the new epics coming require a new way to unlock them not just by hitting 50 but don't quote me on this
personally i'd think incarnates will be both hero and villain (recluse is an incarnate), coralax and blood of black stream will be villain, and avilan.. well dunno what to think bout them.
However these are just speculations, those ATs are still hidden away well in the pipeline and it has already been said those ATs wont necessarily be unlocked by hitting lvl 50.
Personally I doubt you will get kheldians with a lvl 50 villain, mainly cause they are a hero AT. The background stories of khelds just dont mix 
. Simply summarized Peacebringers fight the Nictus in an epic battle. Peacebringers are perceived as "good" where Nictus are perceived as "bad" (cause nictus force themselves into a human host, while PBs merge with the host's consent). Warshades are basically Nictus who "saw the light" and hence joined the PBs in the battle against the Nictus.
So, if you get ANY kheld as a villain, it would be a Nictus, but afaik there are no confirmed stories these will make their appearance. I'd say wait till issue 8 or 9 for villain epic ATs (after all heroes didnt get em till issue 3 )

Although, since they are bonded, if the Kheldian was good its possible the Villain could see the light and become a Peacebringer, same thing with the Nictus, a villain could become a nictus, rebel, and become a Warshade.
Nictus villains would actually be quite good considering, like some people have said, Nictus are beings of darkness and are more correctly played in villainy. e.g. Arakhn, Requiem

Thinking about this, reaching 50 as a villain would unlock keldians unless the devs actually write extra code to stop it happening.
However it would only unlock the normal hero keldians.
I really should do something about this signature.
Well, a rather simple question: Will a level 50 villain-character on my account enable me to create a Kheldian?
