You can slot it for Run Speed? Well, I'll be darned. Someone get me a coffee, a certain scrapper is getting a certain power next level!

If you 3 slot it for run speed, 3 slot swift and 3 slot sprint you move at around unslotted fly speed, un supressed.

1 speed boost puts you pretty much on the speed cap too.

They're now putting it all together.

Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

yer i've got it to flight speed already (or close), only level 25 at the moment with 3 slots on quickness + 1 swift and 1 sprint but it feels the same as fly unslotted.

tis a shame that its only ground movement, i had a hope that the hovering scrapper could still work, although i'm still holding on for the results from the hover discussions in america to see if they let it get 4 or 5 slotted.

Well, actually, by increasing your run speed you do increase your jump speed as it allows you to jump further per jump (although not higher) so You can increase your SJ speed quite considerably just from 1 SO in Quickness, sprint and swift.

I have a L39 Broadsword/SR scrapper. I have to say that its the most enjoyable build I've played with (out of about 7 anyway).

As has been said above SR can have its ups and downs. There are times where nothing can touch you and times where you can faceplant in seconds. However, its been my experience that most of the time, you can hardly be touched. In fact I' ve found him to be almost (note almost) as good as a tanker in the right circumstances as you can hold up a number of minions who can't hit you. If they do of course... well thats where elude comes into its own (at least when you get to l38 ). Of course come I7, SR wil be better as at least then it will be scalable with higher levels. I haven't ever taken practiced brawler, partially as i had better powers to take at that time but also I'm addicted to badge hunting and so wanted to get the sleeping badges. I've only just got the second badge as its not often mez gets past my defence.

Broadsword works very well with SR. It's slow but high damage. However once you get about 3-4 attacks, depending on what you take, I've found it much less of a problem as your attack cycle is constant. Quickness from SR works very well here as it increases your attack powers regen rate as well as your movement rate. Once you get disembowl and especially headsplitter, you'll love broadsword.

Its essential that you take stamina as this is an end heavy build. With stamina and one end reduction SO in each of my BS powers, its rare that i run out of end now.

Originally I had parry but repec'd it out pre I6 as i was capped in my defence from SR anyway. Post ED, however I intend to respec it back in as it will help increase my defence - and do a little damage too.

The other thing to remember about broadsword it that most of its powers have a defence debuff. Worth putting an SO into post ED. It not that useful on minions as you tend to take then down quick abyway but its useful on bosses etc.

It can be challanging to play but very rewarding. As long as you are a bit careful you shouldn't have any problems. The thing to watch out for is defence debuffs - take anyone down as soon as possible that can do this to you. At least you now get a resistance against this.
