In case anyone doesn't know, Steel Talon is a CoH alt of our own DC (atomic tempest or twisted metal). I'd just like to point this out as a fine example of the kind of sportsmanship, respect and manners that would in an ideal world be the standard code of conduct for all players.
Well done hun, this sets a very good example to us all and is one of the reasons i for one am proud to call you teammate and friend.
We sometimes don't appreciate the fine group of players we have in this VG, it only becomes apparent when we experience the bad side of the penny, so a little thank you to ALL those i team with on a regular basis; DC, Cold Spark, Mister, Scarlet, Lady Doom, Jon, Roaster, Xip, Helioss and many others i can't think of right now. Goes to show it really is the people and not the game that keeps me coming back for more.
P.S. If anyone is wondering what has happened to your kitty, i have her chained in my basement while i gorge myself on prozac. normal service will resume shortly

Hola all - several things to cover here so I'm bound to forget... all of them!
Firstly Jon's Illusions badge - tonight's the night for debt (I'll be laying on some freak relief afterwards!) - I had a bit of a thought here in that our tactic could be clear the map of everything but ignore the MIs (just hold them with something not too painful for the poor loves) Then I can gather em up and off we go with some nice low damage immobs. We only have to do 1 point of damage to the summoned illusions for them to count.
AoE will be frowned upon and pets will need to be on a very short leash indeed.
Also....
Base - Well those of you who get online before me will enter the all new base layout - its a bit bigger than before (and subject to a couple of adjustments - not to mention a shedload of decorating which our lovely ladies (as I'm totally autistic when it comes to being artistic) will take care of starting this evening.
Whats new in the base? - a 3rd Workshop room so we will now have all 6 benches, a larger secure tp room so we now have 4 telepads in there (ready for the new zones as Scarlet so rightly reminded me), a larger raid tp room (which means we can have the tech raid tp instead of the out-of-place-looking arcane one and (we hope) a more defensible base in general. Also we have an expanded meeting/recreational room.
Now personally I think it looked damn good when I set all the lighting to hot pink last night - but kitty disagreed!
So please don't judge the base on its looks just yet but do let me have lots of feedback on functionality and implied defensibility.
Implied you say? Well I was thinking we could see if we can get another SG to test-raid us at some point over the weekend.... Any interest?
Think that's it... see you all this evening for a starter of carnies followed by a main of illusions and a desert of freaks.
And for Hors d'oeuvres i shall be decorating Spanky's new monstrosity. I shall need a couple of uninterrupted hours in the base to accomplish this so may need to temporarily restrict base access to save me any unnecessary crashes. Apologies for any inconveinience this may cause.

The layout of the base looks pretty good but the first thing you have to do kitty is change the lighting. When i got in the base this morning i thought for a second that i'd entered a turkish bordello of my passing aquaintence. Only to find out no such luck.

Wasn't just thinking as it's Cals mission but coz you need holds. Kitty can do the AoE immob thing, but her tentacles are slotted for damage, and yo ugave the impression we dont want them dead. I'm just worried about Cals debt situation, she goes down faster than a chearleader (infact she even has the pom poms)

excuse the brevity of my previous reply but the boss was peering at me as i was typing =)
We don't want illusionists dead, no, but they are quite durable, so probably wouldnt die, and an ae immob that deals damage would be excellent at snagging the decoys. but again, tis up to you, after all it's you lot thats doing me the favour =)
as for the base and its defenses, i will try and secure us more nanofluid and unstable rad pistols to create better defenses. They are obtained from completing warburg missions, along with their arcane equivalents, so there's a 1 in 4 chance of getting a rad and a 1 in 4 chance of getting a fluid each time.
With a team of 8 bombing the misisons though that'd be 2 of each per mission on average =)
On the distinctly unlikely chance that decorating the base takes me less than several hours tonight, i will be happy to run warburg missions for salvage Jon, esp. as i'm aware i've not been earning any prestige due to my need to hoard some cash up for the impending lvl 45s
