Rads defense bypassing is, as you expected, effectively an ACC boost. So, yeah, a single ACC should be enough. Though if you can find space, I'd still say take Tactics (as THBuff>>>Acc)
Although I've not played with Rad that much (level 15 Corr in beta) from what I can gather, pretty much all the powers are good. You can build a good single target build with Neutron Beam, X-Ray and Cosmic Burst, or go the AE route with Irradiate, Electron Haze and Neutron Bomb, plus theres a decent snipe, Aim and your obligatory nuke. Hell, you could take em all
As to Tar Patch, the res debuff makes a significat boost at higher levels. I don't know the exact numbers, but mobs dies significantly quicker when I've got it on

I'm not sure about this, but I think that the res debuff stays the same through all the levels. It's the damage at higher lvls that much more... well, damaging, thus more of it get's done to the target(s).

Cosmic burst is a great power as it does high damage and disorientates aswell.
Irradiate is also great if slotted for damage and Scourge is activated.
Hmmm yeah i had a look at Irradiate but didnt choose it because Darkest Night was also available. By it's description i guess it's not just an Aura but a PBAoE. How's the Range on it?

Slightly less than Steamy Mist and Tar Patch.
Tar Patch + Irridiate = uber.
And if someone else follows up - say Rain of Fire or Fire Ball - omg!
dont know the exact figures for tar patch but i'm sure ive heard somewhere it lowers resistance by 20%. so if at lvl 6 u do 20dmg, with tar patch it'd be 24, at lvl 12, 30 dmg would be 39 with tar patch etc. at least i think that is how it works.
the effect also stacks if u put down multiple patches so it is recommended that u slot with 3 recharges first then add slows if u want them.
Hey gang, rolled a new alt today called Shnyet King who's Rad/Dark and a lil level 6.
Just a few questions really.
In nearly all the Rad power descriptions it says the attacks can bypass some defenses. Does this just mean thats its an inherently quite accurate set? and that for PvE purposes id only need say 1 SO of ACC slotting?
Any Rad primaries that are absolute mare's and shud b avoided?
The Dark set seems pretty cool, like the whole "need a target to res and heal" thing.
I like the Tar Patch Damage Resistence lowering, it helps get a bit closer back to blaster damage. Shame there's no way to enhance it apart from putting in slows so they stay on longer.....Will the DMG Resistnace lowering scale up with level so that when im up in the 20s its a much noticeable difference? because at the moment im only dealing in 1's and 2's difference.
