Which enemies do you hit with /rad debuffs?

To start with I would like to say, everyone should have to get a rad debuffer to level 15 just to see how annoying people are. Even when you explain the advantages to keeping the "clouded" enemy alive I find that people like to kill them.

So...My question is what mobs do you recommend targeting? I have decided that if the mob is dying all the time then I want a decent hp but with a lesser priority target. So currently I'm hitting lieutenants. I also sometimes hit minions thinking they will die last but that doesn't help. Any thoughts?

I feel your pain, I really do. To begin with I went with the doctrine that the minions are the safest to leave standing a long time, so greened those guys up. In big AoE groups they went down too fast, so I started putting them on Lts and Bosses, but certain ATs just tend to gravitate towards those, so they often go down fast too.
These days I either put the debuff directly on particularly nasty boss types, or a Lt waaay at the back of the group of mobs. The only way I've found to make sure the anchor dies last is to team with a bunch of people you know really well or are very experienced. It gets better later in the game for sure, so just persevere

At least rad debuffs are fairly visible so if you got a good team (just not enough of those out there) there is even a chance that it might survive. Other debuffs like snow storm are much harder to see sometimes and I guess if you're in close or far away I really imagine it is hard to see which one it is on.

So for general tactics I usually start putting the debuffs on bosses and only switch to lieutanants if any particular team always kills them first. Putting stuff on minions never works because of area of effect attacks and the odd attack melee people make before changing the target/the debuff becomes visible.

One of the best ideas is (if you use tab to select the guy for the anchor) not to put it on the guy in the front/ the first guy tab targets as chances are the other people targeting this way will hit the same one. Being lazy I don't always do this and usually target bosses that even if they die too soon at least tend to live for some time.

yer its can be hard de-buffing with RI or EF in a pick up team or a team that is heave on the AoE's. And fire rain used to pee me off so much i would not bother with the de-buffs at all or just leave the team, only real advice it to explain to the team about how your power works (as any1 that has never played a rad de-buffer prob dont realize its a TAoE).

people seem to think that that green cloud is used to indicate one big shiny target for all to attack. It all depends on the team who to debuff first.. AoE heavy, dont do the minions, "boss first, rest later" i'd say lieuts. Just study your team, try to find out what their targetting is like, and debuff according to that.

You think you have it bad? Try Darkest Night! Even I, the caster of this debuff, have trouble spotting where I put it sometimes.

Especially with a few other dark powers around... Tar Patch, someone hit with Twilight Grasp, and it's neear impossible to tell, who's got Darkest Night on.

1) Tell your team before each and every fight. Eventually they have to catch on.

2) When I played Rad (in CoH), I targeted Bosses, clean and simple. It was a while back so Rad DeBuffs were insanely strong back then, IMHO. The Debuffs turned almost every boss into a little cute pussycat standing there, jabbing away with his tiny paw at us while we took down his entire mob.

And, if the team still killed the Boss first, you at least have the biggest threat out of the way. Just stand back and target a Lieut, they're good too, they usually remain stationary with a ranged attack so no risk of having a minion running away from his mob to go melee with you all.

yep, i got for the strongest, tbh, minions drop easy, they drop even easier when debuffed, if they kill the boss first, oh well, at least he's down. And just repeat... *sometimes* i'll do lt's, say for longbow, they have boss, lt, and minions, i'll debuff the lt, and hopefully the group kills the boss
