Dominator secondaries - opinions from other ATs?
My main is Ice/Energy, so I can reliably comment on the following powers:
Power Boost: What a power! It doubles the secondary effects (so basically any effect bar damage) of a power, making any set more potent at controlling especially.
Ice bolt and Ice blast: Quick attacks with fast recharge with a nice slow effect, which when argumented by power boost, becomes awesomely handy. Due, to their speed and slow AND their high damage, I'd recommend taking them asap.
Bitter Ice blast: slightly slower than ice bolt and Ice blast, but a fair bit more powerful. It's still quick bwhen compared to other powers and has THREE TIMES the range of similar powers such as blaze and power burst. DOn't skip this either!
Frost Breath: Ice has never been good with AoEs and this one is no exception. I found it had too long an activation time to be reliable. However, I took it early and then respecced it out. If you slot it for range and slow, it could be AWESOMELY potent. The damage is good to, and due to the holds, if you slot it for damage, it may well have place on a dominator
Aim: Why is it only Thorny assault that gets this!?!? Don't skip it, It's awesome! Give it plenty of recharges and try to use it every fight! It will shorten them considerably!
Bone Smasher: I love this power! I have recently respecced my main to blap, and this power is the staple! It's just so strong and quick! You won't regret taking this power. It'll serve you well!

Incinerate : I had a Fire/Fire dominator in beta for about 4 levels. This is not the Tanker secondary power incinerate, Tanker incinerate does completely DoT. It is more like a high damage version of the Tanker secondary power scorch, frontloaded damage followed by DoT.
Combustion : Assuming is it like the tnaker secondary it is a 15 foot radius PbAoE with decent but not impressive damage. A staple attack of my Inv/Fire tank.
Impale : Assuming is it like the Scrapper/Stalker power this is a good damage ranged attack ( 2nd best in spines primary ) with an Immob and -fly. Small DoT afterwards too. This is one of my favourite powers from the Spines set.
Ripper : Assuming is it like the Scrapper power this is a good damage ( best in spines powerset ) melee cone with a strong knockdown effect. It has a large slow effect and a long DoT. The melee cone is small and the only guaranteed way of hitting 2 people is to aim at the back one and stand with the front one in between. I have hit 3 enemies with it a few times.

Impale is just like the Scrapper one. Same animation (always reminds me of pitching a baseball for some reason) and everything.
Fling Thorns is a great wide-area cone attack. Seems of have an arc of 90-120 degrees. Of course since it's AOE it's bound to get your enemies a little upset but thats what your holds are there for.
Well have all but three of the ice secondries now and I dont think there's a power among them I will skip. Chilling Embrace wouldn't be too handy if you weren't going melee (but if you're not going melee ice in general is a poor choice)

Dominator secondaries are not identical with any other powersets but rather combinations of mostly blaster primary/secondary and defender and tanker secondary. That's why it's sometimes pretty difficult to find out information about them and make informed choices. Here's a list of all dominator secondary powers. If you've had any of these powers on any of your toons, please comment and tell us what the power does and what you think of it.
All powers are obviously not shared by any other ATs but I'll put them here anyway. Maybe some of the more advanced dominators can comment.
If we get a decent thread going I can then compile the answers to a list. I think that would help us a bit with the information shortage, until people get further in the game and start writing guides.
