Best Brute Primary/secondry sets?

My EM/INV brute wipes missions with ease though has the same end issues as the rest even with copious amounts of end recs in virtually all powers, still with 12 cabs (which I buy religiously) I can sprint through a whole mission on nigh on full rage.

Its your fault
Its your computers fault
Its your ISPs fault

DA/DM for the win!!!
Although I've got no end most of the time

Oh well SMASH!!!

Very effective it is too...especially with a corruptor to buff/debuff and heal

[/ QUOTE ]

Unlike most other 2nds, you dont need a healer as dm/da most of the time

SS/INV for me.

nice fury building, and with perma rage on the damage is awesome then.

Perma Rage is great.

I really like my SS/Fire, a good frequent self heal, no end problems since stamina, I don't have Blazing Aura or Consume yet though. I have Jab, Punch and Boxing as my fury builders and main attack cycle ( slotted 2xDAM, 1xEND) , with the occasional brawl as a filler and with Knockout Blow for SMASH! Haymaker is my next power pick, which should be a reasonable heavy attack.

I did try SS/DA as I reckon it would be a better choice, but I made some mistakes on SS power picks and gave up. Unfortunately DA matures much slower than Fire and has 3 resistance toggles rather than 2. DA also has a better self heal IMO. However from the mid 20s I'm sure it would perform better.

SS has 2 major advantages as a primary, the best single target attack at level 8 and the ability to have build up permanently on using Rage, so slotting Accuracies becomes redundant.

@Unthing ... Mostly on Union.

Dark Melee/Stone Armour(Granite)
Tough as hell and lots of support powers, not as much smash as some but with a higher life expetancy.

I've had fun with both a SS/Force Field Brute and a DM / Fire Brute

So far I think I prefer the DM/Fire for the additional heals available though I'm getting to the end of each fight without endurance.

EM/Stone

As normal with stone, armours are pretty [censored] pre granite. So it is prolly the hardest pre-38 brute to take. Until they nerf granite, it's the best post 38.

EM=insane damage+mez+detoggling power? no contest!

WOW! now, i admit, i only read the first two pages of this thread, but DM/FA seems crazily under-represented. Actually i have only met two other DM/FA in game.

This is THE build. and u can quote me happily on that

My DM/FA is now lvl 35. if you build ir right you dont need stamina, end is only a problem vs AV's or in PVP (but dm/fa aint a pvp build by any means)

the point of the build is to kill stuff FAST pull big mobs, kill em. simple. fury hardly ever goes lower than 90% and currently I can get 50dmg per cycle out of blazing aura on +1's with fury and fiery embrace and soul drain.

DM/FA is all about PBAoE. its full of em. the DM ones are moderate dmg, and you have shadow maul - cone effect.

Only things you do NEED are acrobatics and tough (i may get weave at some point, but i've heard it really aint worth it)

To save end I have one end reduc per power, and consume/dark consumption are slotted for rechage. With this build you don't need taunt, BA does that well enough thanks, also even though burn aint what it used to be, it still has its good points in confined spaces

IF you want a build to take on AV's, go with stone or nrg. if u want to kill mobs FAST then this build is the one for you, FM/FA can beat DM/FA damage wise but DM/FA has extra heals and end steals which are very very handy for surviving without downtime, or stamina (it takes up THREE powers ffs. i refuse to have a toon with stamina purely for that reason alone)
