They came in a ship apparently. In one of the latest comics there's a flashback to when Horus was merged to become a PB.

They come from SquidLand...so a very reliable source tells me, anyway..

As far as I know, Kheldians are not material beings to begin with.
I don't know much about their civilization, but I know they traveled at least two alien worlds: their two alternative shapes are the remnants of races they also merged with. So I know for sure they are NOT from Mars.
As for spaceships, it's quite unlikely. More likely they can travel through space in some non-material state. Quite the same as the "quantum flight" of PB.

Does anyone have any info on the Kheldian backstory? I know a certain amount is told in the story arcs, but I have a couple of specific questions.
1) Any info on the Kheldian homeworld, society?
2) Do they use starships for interstellar travel, or do they live natively in space?
Any info appreciated
