They've gone, alll gone

Yay, it's back! Mind you, I was 60% into the hoooooooooooooooge download, and now it's saying 'connecting' again. I do so hope it remembers where I was.....

mine didnt cancelled it in the vain hope its fixed tomorrow and i dont need to start again...

*crosses fingers*

I copied my CoV beta into my CoH folder and then I only had to download 104MB instead of 1.5GB I was just running around Warburg with my SG, so it all works fine

Do you have any easy to understand instructions on how I do that without screwing it up

If you were in the CoV Beta then it's easy.

1. Back up your main CoH folder (just in case)
2. Copy (or just move) everything from the CoVBeta folder into the main CoH folder.
3. Run the updater.
4. Wait. And wait. Then wait some more. It'll work...eventually.

And purple is Odiums color, not for use here! Yet....

1) Back up your existing CoH folder somewhere else (i put mine on my other hard drive, but you could just copy it to a folder called CoHbackup or something)
2) Open your CoV beta folder and copy the ENTIRE contents of the folder into your CoH installatioin
3) Delete the two files called CoH.checksum and CoHtest.checksum
4) Run the updater and wait

That simple enough?

heh, the update thing not working actually got me playing Pirates, a game i got for christmas last year, still hadnt managed to install it in all that time. quite good it is

forgive me if im being daft, but why cant you just rename the "City of heroes" folder to "CoHOLD", then rename the cov beta folder to "City of Heroes"?

no need to copy huge dirictorys this way... or am i missing something?

gonna hit my download cap for this month and be cut off for a few days
already installed and patched CoH (and pre loaded i6 twice), Coh test and CoV beta

simple answer upgrade to a bigger cap

Theres no need for anything other than an updated CoH install to play both. I deleted my CoV beta folder, patched CoH with i6, and got in straight away on Saturday.
