Ok ive heard theres been some problems with round 1 of the league and there has been some teams that have been wantig to join so what i am going to do is let the first round slide and start everything over again. Why? You guys//gals can't police yourself for a good time?
Kool has gone out of his way to make a venue for some fun pvp on the server. If you can't show up with a sportsmanlike attitude and have fun then don't sign up. If you are signing up it's pretty clear you pvp. Guardian is a really small server with an even smaller pvp community. If you can't look at the teams listed and know who is gonna be an ******* and who isn't? You are a moron. When you fight the ******* teams be prepared. The point is to have fun and actually be able to pvp against something coordinated rather than the same 5 braindead douches in RV every day. There is no need for a stupid ref in every match. Thats what" printscreen" is for with a score. If you don't like that a ref isn't gonna be in your match then DON'T sign up. Duh.....
On the other hand if you want a ref in every match rather than sign up why dont you volunteer to ref? Problem solved both ways

Sorry to disappoint ya,Saint. Apparantly you can't comprehend a sign up roster. I am not participating. Do you see @Southern listed anywhere except in the examples for league signups? Nope.
Its hard enough to host events of this nature and get them going in the first place. I commend Kool for going to the trouble to try and get the league going. I posted regarding ref's because recruiting more people to police a league on a smallish server sounds like a grand idea in theory but is a bit more difficult to implement when you get down to actually being able to recruit nonbiased ref's for the league. In addition to nonbiased ,ref's also need to have done arena matches enough to be able to recognize when a team is breaking a rule. Example: Being able to recognize the use of a tier 3 inspi vs a tier 1 based on the number generated after use..The fact of the matter is if your team is facing a team that your team thinks might be willing to do anything to win in the above instance you can request an inspi swap prior to the match. No ref needed for that,huh? Reffing isn't as simple as showing up and watching a match. Thats just one example. I could list more. Bottomline is that if the participants use common sense 9 times out of 10 a ref is not needed ( please refer to the commonsense solution of an inspis swap).
My understanding is this league is intended to be a fun activity for pvp with minimum hassle.If the ref thing is that big of a deal than put it up for a league vote. Ask all registered participants what they prefer. If the majority wants refs then put off the start of the league to find some ref's.If not.... GO.FIGHT! HAVE FUN!!
Pretty darn simple.
The first round will start again this Sunday. Tuesday is the last day to sign up.

I will bring my sportsmanlike conduct to these events... problem is I know unfortunately others will not. After observing the canceled first round fights I saw a few things that were illegal, primarily the use of what I believe to be tier 3 insp. And yes I have no problem being ref for other fights since I wont know who I am fighting next until its posted I think its a great idea, so long as I can still participate in the matches. As I can not confirm the illegal actions and that the first match has been canceled, I leave them to be mearly observations.
I look forward to the next match...
Oh and thanks kool for the oprotunity.

Alright, this is getting kind of soggy. Firstly, southern was only trying to help with her posts about how to apply. Secondly, cheating is a very common thing, though easily avoided. A simple spamming of insps and rebuying will do just fine. If more evidence is needed, i suggest screenshotting your UI with your insps tray open pre-fight. That way you can be 100% sure of foul play. Simple solutions like those can be used to stop cheating. As for talking trash, a DQ of the round and a loss of points should do nicely to avoid conflict during the event. These methods will ensure a fun and fair combative event for all.

Being completely serious though, I think that spamming insps, and showing a screenshot with your insp tray open(with the match countdown timer going) to be proof enough of what insps you're bringing. Honestly, I have no doubt in my mind some people will attempt to cheat.
I for one will be bringing my ambrosia. =P
I like these ideas, never thought of them, of course I am a bit newbish. Also, Kool, if you need someone to take care of things when you cant make it, I have no real life so I will throw my name in the hat. I have a good feel for pvp, tournaments and what I don't know I can get from you.
The problem is being unbiased, as the other day you were one of the people chanting "PK Sux" :P
Hey Kool...I hate to do this but I have to drop. I'm leaving for Afghanistan on friday and won't be back on for about a year...so wish everyone luck and lots of fun!
