For me I have slotted the attacks for range defense using set IOs, the control powers I slotted for recharge since all other possible choices kind of suck. Some sets that give range or melee defense also boost damage so that helps with that sliver effect that seems to happen alot with doms.

Depending on what your gonna do with your dom will define the build IMO.
Ok I want servivability, damage i play 50% solo as well as 50% teams and lets not forget the recharge...lol I also want to be better help on sf thats why i went with mind psi or is their something better?
What sf// sf's? Any sf redside or a particular sf? In addition , if you want more survivability build for max hp, damage, recharge. Make sure and get all your useful accolades. In all honesty if you are looking for an archetype that provides maximum survivability a dominator might not be the trick.
For SF's personally I like earth doms. Earth/Psi is a very potent combo good AoE and lots of debuffs. -speed -def -regen/recov -rech and once you get your PPP you can even get procc'd -res.
With Mind/Psi you'll have lots of control with three diff types of control in your secondary, KB, Stun, Immob. So I'd personally make sure to have your secondary slotted for dmg and perhaps one end redux in your Mental Blast and Subdue since you'll be using them so often they'll wreck your end quickly. Once you get a Performance Shifter Proc you should be able to remove your end reducs.

I have just rolled a mind psi dom and have a couple of questions.
I have read numerious mind psi bulds and looked over other dom builds and it seems that with everyone slotting for recharge that it ...well kinda nurffs damage a dom could do.
And with all the changes recently what would be the otimal way of slotting a mind psi?
And third if anyone could mess up mids that would be me havent used it much.
Im lookin for survivability, damage, and an over all great toon to help out on sf and such.
