Help Video Card Went out or something?
First, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.
Second, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Insane, I went and downloaded the new drivers and my computer is "fixed." -- Is this a problem I should worry about or perhaps it was a one time thing?
Probably your system picked up a driver through windows update that it sneezed at. I dont think I'd be concerned if your cohhelper and hijackthis logs are clean and you have a current AV.
Nope it broke again, I double clicked device manager and it crashed and now I am back to square one...

Clicking the link goes to a page where the download is then clicking the download doesn't do anything.
Really? Are you using Firefox or IE? If it's Firefox you may need to right-click the download link and do the Save Link As ... dance.
Edit: Works for me in IE and Firefox just by clicking the link. Firefox asks me what I want to do and gives the option of Save File or Cancel.

Uninstall drivers, boot to Safe Mode, run DriverSweeper, boot to normal mode, don't let windows install any drivers, install these 185.85 drivers.
Also, if it were me, I'd drop the Physics Quality to High since there is no Ageia PhysX card installed.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Two Questions:
1) What is driver sweep?
2) How do I prevent windows from installing drivers? It does it automatically?
3) How do I get to safemode in vista?
1. DriverSweeper
2. Click Cancel on every New Hardware wizard that comes up. If you've gotten rid of all of the nVidia video drivers using DriverSweeper it shouldn't autoload any drivers since they won't be there.
3. Same as XP, during boot process press the F8 key rapidly until you get the menu.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

What categories of things should I delete with driver sweeper? Also windows keeps auto-installing the drivers it doesn't even ask me if I want them.
nVidia Video drivers or Display drivers. When you get rid of the old drivers with DriverSweeper, there won't BE any drivers to autoinstall.

Well so far its been working thanks. Should I still call technical support? (Evga)
Well it worked fine for a few hours then it crashed again. Any idea?
I'm curious what the GPU temp is doing.
Ultimus, The MB you are using, nForce 750i SLI, is known for video corruption and crashes. EVGA has updated their BIOS several times to try to address the problem, the last release was 03/16/2009. I'd say contact EVGA support and see what they can do for you. Sorry I don't have any other suggestions.
Edit: When I google searched this problem all the specific cases I saw were 9xxx series cards which might explain why you didn't see this until you replaced your 8800 with the 9800. That doesn't mean all 8800 cards are safe or all 9xxx cards are bad, out of hundreds of posts I read 3 and they were 9xxx cards. EVGA support should be able to give you more info than me doing a half hour goggle search.

potential solution for you. no promises. it references evga's inability to help officially, but a tech pointed someone in a right direction for them. caveat emptor.

Well I called them today and they want me to RMA it. So I am sending it in and we will see what happens.
Btw, here is an example of what was going on. This was from my camera phone, low quality but all that flickering is from the card not my phone:

So I was playing the game when my screen went black. I was forced to restart my computer and now my video card is disabled. I use Windows Vista (And I haven't installed new drivers). My video card is a 9800 Gx2 Nvidia card. Currently I am trying to install different drivers.
When my computer loads up my card is disabled now. Device Manager is reporting a "!" symbol next to the card and it says:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Any idea what I can do?
