How do you get a screenshot of your character?

While in-game, hit the "Printscreen" button.
Check Menu->Options->Keybinds to make sure that this button is set to do that. I wasted a lot of potential screenshots thinking that is was by default, and it wasn't always.

What OS are you using Peter?
And if you have the default keybinds, then you can move the camera to the front, if you hold down <Page Up> while moving the mouse.

Alternatively, if you have a mouse3 button (aka scroll wheel button for those with scroll wheels) you can hold that down to and move the mouse to rotate the camera.
In addition to <Page Down> resetting the camera, so does zooming all the way in to 1st person view.
