Start with the common solutions thread stickied in this forum. Then post your hijack this and cohhelper logs (link in my sig). Probably a driver issue most likely.

Now that the parlor games are over, we'll try a bit of ESP.

Let's see, you are running either Windows Vista or Windows 7. You have an nVidia graphics card. You updated to the 186.xx drivers.

Roll back to the 185.85 drivers.

Can't give you any links since I'm just playing Psychic Detective here.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Maybe you should switch to an Ouija board?

Maybe next time. I have a good feeling about my ESP.

I'm having the same problem as the OP.

I've loaded and updated CoX on this new machine of mine, and everything woprks fine until the game starts. I see a large-pixel hour-galss cursor for a few seconds, then the screen goes black. I can hear the music that normally plays with the login screen, but there's nothing to be seen.

I ran HijackThis and the CohHelper, here's the output:

Okay, so I reverted to the 185.85 Nvidia drivers, and I can see the graphics now, but the mouse cursor's invisible. Any ideas there?

Update to Service Pack 2.

I'd recommend going through Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.
