You seem to be missing the point youngster. It isn't about who has the greater story. It's about living in your budget. If a one time expenditure of ten dollars is a lot for you, then you need to either cut back on some of your frivolous expenditures or earn some more money. That is what adults do. Welcome to the real world. If you want something bad enough you can either
1. Work for it.
2. Or make a sacrifice of something else so you can get it.
Here are some suggestions to consider as extra income . . .
Get a paper route.
Work at Mcdonalds (or whatever is near you)
Sell your plasma.
Join the National Guard, that's only one weekend a month.

Okay 10$ is not alot in most senses but im also one of the very few people of age 17 playing this game and yes i played when i was 12 over 5 years ago! i make jewelery and sell it at craft fairs and i make a some good money doing this for the summer. Along the lines of expenses i just got a brand new car for my 17th birthday unlike most kids my age im trying to be some what responsible for it and paying as mutch of the monthly payments as i can! so when 90% of my money is being put into a car $10 is alot D:!

I will say he's in better shape, though, than the guy who insisted the game was too expensive because he was also paying a bunch for porn, for his brother to clean his apartment, for a bunch of other video games each month, etc. etc. etc.
Wouldn't be quite so hard on him - though I kept this going while unemployed, dealing with a sick wife, etc. - since after all, this IS about the time to really get a handle on budgeting and such. Big difference from "allowance" to "job and serious expenses with consequences" in the teens

However there is a catchall. If you pay for the more expensive item transfer and they botch it and you end up naked, then you just paid a premium for what you could have payed for a standard. Anything that happens they will not reimburse or try to rollback.
