Wentworth Sales Rep. - Black Market Broker

I had this thought just bit ago and discussed it a little and people seemed to like it... So here goes nothin'...

A Wentworth's Sales Representative for heroes to call and not actually use, but just to view the Wentworths market and track their sales and bids. You can not place bids, sales or take off sales or bids. But you could take the latest sales on the items you're trying to sell/buy to see if you should head to a Wentworths to lower or increase your selling price/bidding price.

For Villains we would call this the Black Market Broker, both would be a contact that you call by phone and you get a Wentworths/Black Market interface that pops up. Only difference is you can not place bids or sales, you can only view them.

Now I know a lot of people want a portable Wentworths, but likely it's not going to happen in my opinion. I have no problem traveling to a Wentworth's or Black Market, in fact most the time I keep a teleporter on me at all times. This would just mean I wouldn't be making a trip just to see what an item sells for.

I know there is the Consignment House channel that tells you if an item has sold or been bought but that is primitive to what I'm asking.

Any thoughts?

So you never wonder what something is selling for when away from a WW/BM? Or..?

I'm pretty sure thanks to farming and how easy it would be to just get recipes and store them in WW to keep on going with a portable WW/BM interface, that we won't be seeing it.

I say all or nothing.

If we could conduct our business from anywhere using a phone, like modern people, then sure.

What you suggests wouldn't be useful to me at all.

Wait, you can call a pawn shop, tell them what you want to sell, get a quote, and cram the item through the phone and have it come out at the store?

I want your phone.

He's got one of the new smart phones that Apple is developing. The working name for it is the ICram.

Me, I'm interested in this because it's easier to know what to delete. I've wiped out stacks of 20 of a naturally-gathered type of salvage without realising they're worth a spiked amount.

I could see the value of this in a way.
You could decide whether to run to the Market or the Vendor first.
You could quickly see the market value of something when deciding to delete something mid-mission.
And it would help those with burning curiosity that must be quenched immediately.

But unless you are full of inventory and still mid-mission, it would just be better to go to the Market first (there's a day job teleporter for just that! ), evaluate there, sell the good stuff, head to the vendors to sell the rest, then hit the missions again.

After buying and selling for a while, a player will get a 'feel' as to what is vendor trash and what isn't.

I'd rather have a remote terminal in my base. Just a little "E-bay" terminal with a mailing tube shute attached.

Another way to do this that I think would work nice is by just right clicking on a sellable item and going view details you can see the vendor sale price and the last 5 ww/bm sale prices.

I lubz dis idear. A+++++ WUD BUY AGIN!!!!!!111

There have been so many times I've gotten full of salvage and recipes, and I'm standing at a vendor, and whimpering because I don't know whether the stack of 20 Circuit Breakers are currently worth 100 inf or have spiked to 20,000....or more.
