power boosted thunderous blast

Ok so if you slotted out tblast for end mod, and fired powerboost then used tblast on another player, how much end would it drain?

I'm theorizing 74% with a chance for about 13% more based on mids, but wondering if that's not the case.

Well first off, what AT? Different ATs have different modifiers, so they'll end up doing different amounts... but Mid's should show you the exact amount, just slot TB as you'd want it to be slotted, then turn on Power Boost (make the dot next to the name green by cllcking on it), then check TB's numbers.

Since this is the Corruptor forum . . . I'll take a wild guess and say "Corruptor".

/facepalm

Yeah, those numbers look right for a Corruptor, give or take a couple % based on the exact enhancements used.

72% when slotted how I like. If I can ever afford the enhancers I want for this build it could be quite fun.

I just wanted to check, mids isn't always correct.

Why would you even cast TB on a player??? (I'm assuming you mean cast TB on a player in PvP)

It will wreck some1's end, but the recharge on it is pretty long. If this is an elec/therm build, its worth it, kinda, but if not, its just not worth the end crash (Speaking of PvP of course)

My elec/therm uses the nuke in his support build, kind of an OHSH** button, cuz PB+HE+TB is about 40-80 end drain and a nice recovery debuff length due to HE, thing is, you get wrecked if u hit more then 1 target.

oh does the end drain on self increase with additional targets?

can't you pop blues to keep going?

I figured I could use it to drain them and then just keep them locked down with regular elec attacks.

the -recov lasts for 20 seconds, same as your own, assuming they don't have blues to burn, and you drained them to 0 (start with short circuit first if necessary) then they can't do much in response.

If facing multiple, you could use 2 powers to drain all of them completely, which I would think could turn the tide of a battle.

If my logic fails at some point, let me know I don't have much experience with end drain.

btw, I almost took thermal, but I just can't stand every other power but heat exhaution, went with /rad instead.

Hmm...so if your purpose is to drain end and then kill targets....why are you pairing Elec and TB with...Rad? I realize that /Rad also has EM Pulse, which is actually quite a powerful end drain tool on other players...however, if you were to use "both" TB AND EMP...then YOU yourself will have to deal some some pretty substantial "end drain" on top of "-recovery" yourself! Basically, you're hurting yourself almost as much as you are hoping to hurt them, if not more.

I mean, Elec/Rad can definately work, but I'd suggest either TB "or" EMP and not both. However, if you're choosing only "one" or the "other" then I'd actually suggest a different secondary altogether. If you don't like /Thermal...have you considered /Kinetics? Paired with ElecBlast, /Kinetics is quite the beast in the end drain department, and may even drain opponents faster than an Elec/Thermal.

my main goal in creating the character wasn't to drain. And I wouldn't use tb and emp at the same time, tb and sc can drain a whole bar themselves.

Not a fan of kin either. Like I said it's not my main priority, just seeing what I can do with the powersets I've already chosen.

The problem with relying on TB for end drain (even if that's not your ultimate goal) is that it's not up very often, so in alot of cases, it won't be ready when you really need it.
