Im really sorry if you did not fit into a social group growing up but just because you feel like you are part of a group here (The Badgers) doesn't mean you need to be such a moron and show a low level of intellegence by slinging mud at what you consider "Outsiders". Whether its the PvPrs or Farmers, no one is any different than you.
Seems silly to me to continue to your little battle because you think your Badge epeen might be threatened. Must just be in ignorant thing

Only if you mean the remark at the nd of my post. A small child could have seen that portion. if you have the idea I am of the dreaded "OTHER SIDE" Dum Dum dummmm... then you are very mistaken. I PvP maybe 1 hour a week with a friend for fun because I enjoy PvE more.
Listen though and dont freak out when I say this, I REALLY love my badges too!!. I know you're probably like "but how cause I are badger and hate PvP'ers,... spit .... foam.. spit.." BUT I fully understand the stance both Snappin Turtle and Couthern Comforrt took on the matter. I will admit SC's coment was a little abrasive but his point was obvious if you just think in RL and not "happy forum time land", he PvPs and earned some badges. Somebody made a post with a hint (however faint some may percive it) of "Hahaha, we can get our badges without PvP". Whether the OP was being sarcastic or not SC voiced his opinion. He cant be wrong cause it is HIS opinion.
If I was to be categorized into one or the other "PvP or PvE" classes I would be a die hard badger(and I dont give a damn what you farm) but lets not push two sides apart. Another poster said some the best PvE'rs were PvP'rs.

The problem is that you're assuming WAY too much about me. You know nothing about me at all. My point was that he was whining about how someone could have "earned" a badge through (in his words) "cheating", whereas I pointed out that, by the same token, if he had farmed any of HIS badges/accolades/etc, then he was doing the exact same thing, in a different section of the game, thus was being a monumental hypocrite.
The fact that you felt it necessary to start frothing and throwing insults at me speaks volumes about you. I actually PvP much more than you do, if you only go out there for an hour a week or so. I may not be GOOD at it, but I do try. I don't see either as "sides".
So tuck your self-righteous attitude back into your pants, and kindly shut your trap when you know nothing at all about me or what I do, eh?

Qr - i farmed the rep badges for a while as the 'victim' to help my sg mate get the pvp badges, butim nit going to do it for my badge toon. Its deadly boring. Almost as boring as real pvp in fact.

Besides, the new 5-minute timer diesnt actually nake it faster, does it? Doesnt it just reduce the number of toons needed for one cycle of kills?

Yes, assuming you have a relatively small number of farmers. When I organized rep farms, we would sometimes get 8-10 people. A shorter timer would help with a big crowd.

I found a way. I don't like PvP but went into the zones and spent a lot of time there (especially RV) to get the badges. While I don't like PvP, I respec'ed my badger for it specifically and (fortunately) he's a scrapper.
When PvP'ers attacked me, I acted like a crazed wolverine, doing my best to kill them and, more than once, chasing them halfway across the zone to finish them off. I remember a corruptor in Warburg who attacked me alone. She (female toon) managed to escape initially but I found her 'taking a knee' three blocks away and killed her.
The people looking for easy rep would never come near me again. The "real PvP'ers" would generally be impressed that I put up a good fight, even if I lost, and would be favorably disposed toward me. One actual conversation went:
"Damn, Iron, you're pretty good."
"Thanks, but I'm really only here for the badges."
"LOL! Cool, I'll leave you alone."
More than once, I had a stalker ask me how I saw them. I guess they were newb stalkers. I explained that I had Tactics AND Focused Accuracy and had numerous conversations on powers and tactics with PvP'ers.
I still don't like PvP.

My experiences in RV were along the same lines. Fortunately my badger is a tank, so I would be pounding on a pillbox, and then someone would start pounding on me. I would just let them while I continued to focus on my goal. after a few minutes, a few times up to 15 they would give up and move on.
Sometimes they would get friends to try and gang up on me, and sometimes that worked, hosp and go back to what I was doing. The only bad pvp experience was a stalker that even admitted he was just bored and didn't know what else to do, would constantly gank my heavy ( already had that badge so it wasn't even helpful from that perspective) that lasted about 3 hours. ... man it is slow to take down a PB solo on a tank.
I have nothing against PvPers, often they are the best PvEers in the game... (if you dodge a wrench ...)
