If an NPC is going to be an ally with hitpoints and such, then they need to be more in-line with what I'm fighting and such.

If the objective is to keep someone alive and they run in and aggro anything and everything then they can die. I'm not gonna be the one faceplanting because of retarded NPC AI mechanics.

Anyone else have similar views?

I like it when pets over aggro when I'm on my Thermal... I can let them do all the work while I keep them alive

But I've personally never had a problem with the NPCs like Fusionette and Lady Jane that everyone always hates.

This was some stupid arc in RWZ. Save some defector. He runs in and aggros two bosses Fake Nemisis who put up their shields before I could zap one with detention field. So while they are immune to attacks and killing off my bots... anyway... I left and let it fail I didn't care at that point seeing how poorly implemented the AI was.

When it comes to squishy NPCs you have to keep alive, the best course of action is to rescue them last. For example, that RWZ mission with the suicidal general, I defeat / rescue everything else and save him last. Likewise, for unlocking the Midnighter's club, I clear my way to the glowie before rescuing {what's her name}.

It's annoying, no doubt.

Rescue Lady Jane with an Emp defender... let her do all the work!

It's not the rescue or keeping the alive I don't like it is the walk to the door. Bleh. Especially when they can't keep up. It's the worst on my Widow who has the speed increase.
