As far as I know, trial toons are never deleted, at least under normal circumstances. I'd recommend contacting customer service about how to go about getting the names freed up...

It sounds like you made a separate account instead of just upgrading your Trial. If you upgrade the Trial your Trial characters are still playable.
Characters don't get deleted after X time around here. If they are below level 6 and the owner's account has been in-active for a time the names become available again, but the characters themselves won't be deleted.
Did you UPGRADE or ADD a to your PlayNC account?
I think Kitsune's right. There's no automatic deletion of trial characters. They should remain there indefinitely.
That said...
We've had name purges in the past - characters below a certain level, on inactive accounts, would get their names freed up.
They've done this twice. However, both name purges were very long ago...and there's been absolutely zero hints that they'll ever do this again.
So really, if you're waiting around for the characters to go poof...yeah, it probably isn't gonna happen. Try talking to NCsoft customer support, however. Maybe they can help you.
It's worth a shot.

I was under the impression the name-release wasn't an automatic feature, but rather a script that NCsoft needs to specifically run. And IIRC they've only done this twice.
I could be mistaken, however.

It might delete the characters if you delete the trial account on the PlayNC Master Account page... but that's pure speculation on my part.

No, you are correct _Acyl_. It's a script that must be run - I believe they have said that they may not necessarily advise the playerbase of plans to runs it, so there is a general warning kind of thing in case someone gets upset that a name goes "poof" on an inactive account that is reactiviated.

Try logging into your trial account and deleting those toons, if you haven't gone past the 14 day trial limit. If you already have, then I'd suggest taking the advice of some of the folks who already replied to you, and contact customer support.

I'm a returning player and try the free trial first.
