Anyone want revenge? (Villainous project)

I had an idea. An idea that I think has some potential. But before I go through with it, I was hoping I'd be able to gauge people's interest in the project. I don't really want to go through the effort just to have the Arc buried behind five million farms and never seen by the people who might apreciate it. So let me know if this sounds like something you might want to play.

Here's the premise; our villains get worked by no small number of contacts and npcs in this game. I say it's time to settle the score. Thye lie to us, cheat us, steal from us, threaten us, and undermine our nefarious plots. I propose an Arc where the villain calls a Reckoning. Targets you've wanted to settle up with for a long time will be rendered as custom creatures, and you'll be given a chance to get even.

Right now the list of targets will include:
- Hardcase
- Virgil Tarikoss
- Arbiter Daos
- Archmage Tarixus
- Blue Steel

I'm also open to adding in more targets of revenge if people feel those npc's have it coming, but these are the big offenders in my mind, the one's in most need of the proverbial red-[censored]-beat-down.

The arc would run all custom mobs and mobs that span 1-54 so it would be playable at all levels without relying on the auto SK feature.

But the real question is, would you, or anyone you know, want to play this, if it was done well?

Can I recommend additions to that list? Because Willy Wheeler and Mender Tesseract both have it coming.

Nobody else seems to be responding, but I'll go ahead and give you the pat on the back, thumbs up, and say "I'd play it."

I myself would love to see this.

If done well I know that my friends would also be interested in running it also.

I'd like to recommend dropping Blue Steel though, his presence seems to break with the premise of thumping villainous contacts that have played you. I don't know right now who to nominate as a replacement though.

I actually did an revenge arc, Illpracticed Malpractice. Due to that I know who you should add to your list--Doctors. Redside the (non PVP zone) med staff talks a lot of trash so they would be prime targets for a beating.

Blue Steel is included for a very specific reason though. Every time your villain triumphs over and captures a well known NPC Hero, it is always Blue Steel that breaks them free. His meddling must be brought to an end!

Live me the ability to beat the crap out of Vivacious Verandi and I am IN.

Hardcase isn't a jerk, he's a schizophrenic. He spends half his appearances being a sort of "for the greater good, no one deserves to die that way" and half of them saying "Let's draw wailers towards Paragon City and get paid!" But he's a pretty cool guy.

The only thing he does in Verandi's arc is try to stop you from being an idiot and give you an excuse to stop talking to her, which is something I am all too happy to do.

Verandi talks down to me, acts like I'm her little puppet, is generally creepy and wierd, and is one of those really awful contacts that I can't think of any characters who would stick with her past the first mission.

Oh, and can I punch Kelly Uqua in her face?

You know, you could just stuff all these suggestions in there, and make them all optional (so we can just skip the ones we don't really have a grudge against).

Yeah, I know you'll need at least one required objective. Maybe a glowie.

Taking notes.

With five missions to work with, I am sure I can fit everyone in.

I also am not setting these guys up to be shot like fish in a barrel. They'll be a suitable challenge. So that's something of a design constraint, but one that I think will make beating them more fun.

Ok, that makes sense. You absolutely have to have Hardcase in this story-arc though. He is easily the most hated contact villainside. His presence is non-negotiable.

Good call on Hardcase.

I was sick of the "He's so tough you better watch your step" dialogue I was being given. Especially reading it right after Back Alley Brawler a beat-down.

I'll play it if you add the mu guy who talks to you like dirt in the redside origin of power arc. I can't remember what his name is, but he's in cap au doable I think, near the big electric power stTion thing. I think he also has a task force. In the OoP arc, the player gets two dialogues to choose at one stage, both of which are so submissive I nearly smashed my monitor up.

Good feedback guys.

AcesHigh- I agree. Hardcase's presence is non negotiable. He must die.

EvaDestruction- Full disclosure, I've never done Viridian's Arc. I refuse to waste my time killing things that give me no xp or loot just so I can unlock a contact. Having never experienced what he has to offer, I don't feel like I could do justice to Viridian in a story where he is killed.

-MrCaptainMan. The contact in question is Virgil Tarikos. He is on the list. I'm not sure I can fully recreate his costume, since he wears a closed robe, but he will be present to answer for both trying to sacrifice you to Bat'Zul and for calling you stupid during OoP.
