If you're trying to take screenshots of special screens (like the enhancement management or costume creation) then yeah, that happens. If you keep trying it might work evenutually but it can take a dozen tries before it does.
Easiest thing to do is to grab FRAPs (the free version will do fine), WeGame's client, or XFire to take your screenshot for you.

Also you can check in options that you have Prt Scn set to screenshot with UI.
Same for me. You have to use the Snipping tool which is actually pretty cool once you get the hang of it.
You can find it under Accessories.

<edit> Actually, a regular screenshot works fine for me. The only time I have to use Snip is when I'm trying to take a pic of an interface screen - especially the tailor screen. I don't have a problem with PrnScrn in-game.

Gadwin PrintScreen works well on my Vista machine; I never leave home without it.
